I am wondering if anyone out there can help me. I have been doing the paragraph tasks since the beginning as they are easy to add up money at $2 each. I was finding they were getting more pickier as time went on, even returning them if there was not a space after a period. Now I am having tasks returned that I did a week ago, saying mylot no longer accepts submissions written if the first person form or narrative form. Was anybody else told this? I have about 13 tasks awaiting approval and I will be very upset if they are all returned. How are we supposed to write? Does anyone know? All of mine were being accepted til this. If we cant narrate about something we are talking about or use first person, what can we do? IM afraid I dont understand what is expected now. Please help!!

Sandy-
Some took a few weeks, and others a few days. The two most recent tasks I did were both rejected, and one because they provided an invalid link. I just looked at two today that are also invald (not even real companies-someone mispelled the name), so I'm beginning to think the task maker needs to carefully edit their posts for invalid links, and grammar/spelling as well.
I'd just give it time though. I am sure that you'll see something. Good luck and Namaste-Anora

Hi Anora...some of mine are taking a few weeks as well. I also find they are getting pickier each time. Even a space missing After a period and they return it. TOday, I had a couple returned saying they no longer accept first person or narrative submissions. I think someone should make it clear, just what it is they are accepting now. Its not really fair to change the rules, and not inform us after putting in so much work. My submissions were always accepted before, and now I guess I will be getting many back to rewrite. I enjoy doing them but I just wish they would make the guidelines clear. Thanks and have a great evening,

I know I will have many more returned yet that I have already done that may be written partially in the first person narrative.
However, I think one of our mylotters had a great idea. They should post an example of what they are looking for as a guideline to go by. I find some of the tasks I dont understand and I dont consider myself dense...(not all the time)....so Im sure its difficult for many to understand. The instructions should be written my laymens terms that anyone can understand.

Sandy-
At least you were given a chance to re-write. So far only two of mine have been published, and two denied. The two that were denied were not even given the chance for a re-write. I agree, if they are going to change the requirements they should inform us. I also, again, strongly suggest that if they are going to provide links to be used they should make sure the links the work, and if they are going to use "company" names, they ought to make sure they have it spelled correctly and have the correct company. I'm not sure anymore how to judge if I've done it appropriately, and as another pointed out it does take some time to write a full page with research time included.

I have not tried any of the writing tasks as yet because I am too lazy to research a subject that I don't really know about
I can see your point though, that it would be hard to write a piece on a given subject without using some kind of narrative. Maybe they just had way too many submissions and it scared them so maybe they had to be very picky or go bankrupt.
I have tried a few of the search engine tasks and all of the ones I submitted were approved in a few days.
I think I will have a go at one of the writing tasks just for the fun of it and see if they will accept it. I will keep you posted to my progress.

Now Im just wondering, supposing it was submitted in a foreign language..then they couldnt return it for spelling and grammer mistakes. I would love to see the reason they sent back with it.. or how about spell the words backwards.. I better be quiet or someone will do it and blame it on me

Now tell the truth! You have not done any tasks because you cant type with one hand and do elbow exercises with the other, and do research too.
Just a word of advise, they are getting really picky with the paragraphs, dont even forget a space, and apparently as of today, dont write in the first person, such as "I said or did....." as if you are telling it. But then again, you cant copy either, so its becoming more difficult. Too bad because i have done about 30 of them so far. At $2 a pop, they add up fast.

I have had a couple of the $2.00 tasks returned for a misspelled word. I can see why they want to point it out to you so you can catch it if you do another one but it would make more sense to correct it and let you know that you had something spelled wrong. I had three of the .20 cent ones declined because it contained backlinks; I go through the listings carefully to make sure they aren't on the list. Oh well, live and learn. I was under the impression that you could write about any aspect of a product (for the $2.00 ones), if they don't want first person or narrative then I have to wonder exactly what they do want. If they are a little clearer on what they want it will save everyone a lot of wasted time and effort.

Hi freak369...I have had several returned just today, saying they no longer accept submissions like this. I wish I had known this before I had put so much effort into it as well. I thought if they wanted positive remarks, the best way sometimes is to mention a positive experience. This time they said it has to be factual and informational in nature. I would think stating a positive experience is being informative but I guess not. I think they should send a notice or post something, stating what it is they want. Its not fair to accept things then suddenly dont with no warning that I saw anyways. I was wondering if I had missed something that other people saw. Its very hard to write facts and information, without copying from the dealer sites to a point.

Well, I am very sorry to hear that you got one returned from mylot sanyorita.
I am not too much into tasks as my English isn't that good and I feel those tasks are boring too and to make the matter worse I got my two tasks rejected for a reason stating not proper use of grammer.
I submitted the same task four times after getting it returned but every time they explained new new errors in it and eventually rejected it.
That day and now, I have not tried any tasks.
I hope that you will get all your tasks approved..

I am also doing this task for the past two days, so far I submitted 5 tasks for this kind because it's worth $2.00 so devoted my time doing these tasks, but up to now I still did not receive any feedback from the task creator and all my submissions are pending.
From what I know, you just follow the task instructions and depends upon on the task creator if he will accept you submission. So far my approved tasks are more on .20 tasks rate.

Hi there..I hope you have good luck with your tasks. I would suggest running them through spell-check and grammer check as they are really fussy now.

I have not had this happen yet, but it sounds almost like they are not wanting you to write in first person (i, me) but more along the lines of something like "for useres, people, ect." If you are unsure how to write in another form other than 1st person, you can look up differnt styles online. I had to do this for a class I took a few years ago, so it is a little eaiser to understand what they may be looking for, but kind of hard to explain. Hope this helps somewhat!

Hi and thanks for responding..I do know what first person means..And I did write one line of the whole 4 paragraphs that had "I" in it. However it also says it cant be in narrative form. I dont know how else to describe something withoug some narration. And I guess I dont understand, if we are supposed to be writing positive remarks, what better way than to speak of a positive experience that we had ourselves. Thanks for helping, I will see what happens with the rest of them

Now you have me worried! I had one returned to me 3 times today and one of the reasons was no space after a comma. I also have about 4 or 5 that I'm waiting to hear about and they are a couple of weeks old. One of them is also in the first person form. I guess I'll get that back eventually huh?

I still have some a couple of weeks old too. This was the first time I have heard about the first person thing. It must be a new rule that we werent told about. I have had a few returned too for real simple things. I just keep correcting them and sending them back. I think we need a clearer set of rules about what is now acceptable

I now have 69 tasks that are pending, many of which have been pending for several days. I do the $0.20 tasks, mainly because the first $2.00 one that I tried, didn't have sufficient data to go by. It said to incorporate the key words, however, there were no key words specified. I guess that just goes to show that even MyLot makes mistakes, and ours should be forgiven also. I've had a few of mine sent back saying that nothing was filled out, and I know that I have never submitted a blank task. I wish that they would tell me which task exactly was not filled out. I also agree that they are getting picky...possibly because they can't actually afford to pay their members as much as they thought. I have no idea, just a thought. If it sounds too good to be true......

I agree that the tasks are great, but they need to be a little more clear on whats expected, and yes I have definately noticed them getting pickier. Now they are returned even if theres a space missing between a word. Today they sent several back saying they no longer accept first person or narrative submissions. I wish I knew that before putting all the effort into writing them. Mine used to be accepted and when they changed the rules, we should have been told. I hope it gets better as i enjoy doing the tasks, if I can now figure out exactly what it is we are supposed to do..

He Sands! after a looooong pause!
Well I really feel like crying over your plight. Why this should happen to you? May be they are having more than that was expected and therefore rejecting some of them or not approving like.
And about writing style there should not arise any trace of doubt as your previous writings were approved and accepted.
I do not have to worry over this issue for I have never taken any task whatsoever. I feel better off this way. lol. Hope your articles o paragraphs would be approved in the days to come.

Wow, thanks for the insight about this! I love the tasks feature, but I have been apprehensive to try those tasks because I couldn't quite figure out what they were looking for. I agree that they need to be clearer on what they expect, especially about being upfront about rules like no first-person narratives. I think it would help tremendously if they provided an example submission that meets the criteria that they are looking for.

Hi there..I think that is an excellent idea. Showing an example would be great. I find even some of the other tasks are not explained the greatest and I dont understand them all. I am fairly good at English and dont understand so the ones that are not quite so understanding, would really have a rough time. Great suggestion!

With the 4 paragraphs writing task, I just started doing it yesterday and the other day. I do have three pending task for that. For now, I need to wait for the results to be review and approve. I used to the task about looking for a certain word then gave the website and email. I am still not aware in this writing task and I am not familiar of the rules in writing too. Hopefully, I did it right in order to gain that $2. For you, I wish you luck.
