Just few sweets or some sandwiches? Fruits or snacks? Pepsi or natural juices?
Or just let they to choice what they want eat and drink?
If they come, you will give them something to eat or not?

I would probably cook finger foods such as pizza rolls, chicken nuggets, and pizza. They would have to deal with ice tea or fruit juice because I don't keep soda in the house. Then maybe chips and salsa or popcorn. Depends on what the plan was, are they watching movies or hanging out in the bedroom, or the backyard.

At this time I give him Maggies and some fruit stuffs with cold drinks. I think it is best for any children because it provides complete refreshment and it is good for health as well.

my daughter is always inviting people over for supper and then telling me at the last minute, so we usually have stuff like spaghetti or panckaes. these are cheap and filling meals that everyone likes.
if not for a meal, then i dont normally offer them anything, except maybe a drink.

My son now is a teenager, so if he has friends at home I serve what we have - either juice or soft drink and some cookies or pasta. He ocassionally invite some friends and classmate and they usually make some projects so sometimes they extend up to dinner time so I prepare some dinner too.

My big worry is that whatever I have someones kid will have an allergy to. I would say like the previous poster some cookies and milk as a snack. Otherwise if you are actually feeding them probably something like pizza that everyone likes.

I have to talk in past as my kids are grown up now. But I can tell you what we do with our grandchildren. If the kids will come for a short while, a fruit juice is enough. If they are going to stay longer, I have bread and homemade jam. I also keep corn of the kind that you can make popcorn with. The kids know how to do it so I donĀ“t have to bother.
If they are staying for diner, the easiest is a large amount of pasta with a nice tomato sauce (and maybe some meatballs). I always have fruit for dessert.
