Do You Have To Buy Thorpe Park Annual Pass Inside The Park?

I was looking at the website and it says that you can purchase an annual pass at one of the kiosks (first time I seen that word) so I guess its one of those admission desks. It says that your entrance fee will be refunded, so im assuming that you will have to pay for thorpe park entrance and then you can buy the passes inside the park and then you will be refunded! :o Well just wondering if thats true if anyone here has bought an annual pass at thorpe park. I thought there was a desk outside the entrance where you could buy them before entering =/
