I just watched it and I am still confused???

Ok, now on the whole I am a pretty intellectual person. I tend to think outside the box and have a knack when it comes to creativity. However, I just watched the movie THE FOUNTAIN and I am left totally baffled. The music and the cinematography was fantastic and I even recognize a kind of link among the three story lines but what is it exactly that we are supposed to learn from this movie? are we suppose to learn anything? What was the point other than to rub 'too little too late' in our faces? Someone please help me on this one. Livy J
