when i was studying i travel either by jeepney or bus. if i have to travel early jeepney is advisable since i just have to walk for 5 minutes to the market to catch the jeep. however, if my classes would start later i travel to the bus stop by tricycle since taking the jeepney at this later time would mean a lot of stopovers from commuters. unlike if the jeepney is filled with students in the morning you can be sure that the school, an hour away, is the only stop that jeepney would make.

Whenever I was very late, I travel through train because it could take me for about 15-20 minutes to my school and the station is exactly there. But if I still had time, I travel through jeepney.

when I was in elementary, our school was like a 7-minute walk away from our house.
When I stepped into the secondary level, It was a 10- minute ride...
but now...
I spend at least one and a half hours just to get to the University.
45-minute ride to the train station
30-minute ride from the first station up to the last station
and another 15-30 minute jeepney ride to the university,
I spend three to four a hours a day traveling :-(

is that amount of time travelling only one way? sounds like awful to me. why don't you board? your time would be of better use. i don't see the point of commuting. for all you know it would be cheaper if you rent or board.

My school is about two rides away from my parent's house and even if the student's fare is still cheap during my college days, I still managed to save more money and time by riding the old train--PNR train. There is a PNR station near to our house and I took a ride which only costs me PHP2.00 that time and I can arrive in PUP at 10 minutes only. If I will commute by jeepney, it will take me around 30 minutes and costs three times more. I have heard of some scary news about the PNR train but I never experience anything like it though I have one classmate in college who got into a train mishap.

I used to travel to school in the school bus till i was in 8th standard. Only girls are allowed school buses from 9th standard. Brought a bicycle in that vacation and then i have ever since gone to school on that. I used to love my cycle a lot. Unfortunately i don't have it with me these days.
But now i have brought a bike and go to office in that..

I take two buses to get to school...it's usually not too bad but sometimes there are hiccups and the bus might be late half an hour.

I had my school about 3 kms. from my home and I used to travel by cycle till I was in 10th. After that My father bought me a motorcycle and I was so happy to get.
It was fun to go to school on a cycle and I still remember those days very much.

Hmmm. I'm glad school's over, but when I was in my elementary years I remember just riding a bicycle with my dad as my driver, because the school is just pretty much near. Then when I get to my high school years I have to travel on my own because it's a bit far, we don't have private vehicle at that time so I opted for jeepney.
I still prefer the jeepney in my college years as it's more cost effective and right now? Glad I don't need to travel! Ciao!

When I was also a student, which was 4 years ago, we still lived in the city where the means of transportation is a tricycle, but it wouldn't take me right away to our campus because the Nursing Building was separated from the main building. So from there, we would ride a multicab ( a cute version of a jeepney) which would then take me to our Nursing building).
At that time the fare was 4 pesos from home to main bldg, and another 4 going to our building. That's about it!:-)

im now at school and my school is near to my house so i generally travel by my bicycle, but sometimes when it is raining i go to school by car.well most of the people go to school by their cycles but some also come to school by their motor vehicles .i don't like such wastage of petrol, so i just opt for a cycle.

Currently I am traveling on foot, by bus and by train. If I missed the bus then I'm in hectic and so I need to travel by foot to the subway station. I always take the express train to my college than travel by local because then I'll still manage to get to class as early as I can. Though college life, professors doesn't even care whether you're late on not but I might missed out on his notes so I'll try to get their as early as possible. I would not think of driving in my city since it's so packed everyday. My train goes straight to my school, so I have it good.

Well when I went to elementary school, I lived right next to my school, so that was a hop away. When I got to Middle School, I moved to a bad neighborhood, and I decided to walk to school (which was at least 15 minutes away) because I didn't feel safe on the bus. In high school, we moved yet again, and this time I went ahead and took the bus.
