My baby is 7 week now, he has been talking the baby language since he was 4th week old. Of course, we do not understand what he said, they are just some pronunciation, like "ang-gu". But it's really nice to see him "talking" and also "chatting" with him.
I always wonder what word he will speak first. Of course, I hope he will call "mama"(calling mother in Chinese).
How about your babies? Did they call mummy or daddy first? Or they started with some other word?

Hi Kaka,
I think kids are common in nature to speak words in the beginning. When they started to call something most of the kids are calling their mother. My elder son called me like ‘amma’ (in our native language) but my younger one called his father. I know he is attached to his father more than me. When he was small (about 3 months) even if he is taking the feed and if he heard the sound of his father he leave the milk and go to him. Just like, he can sacrifice his hunger for his father (lol). Kids are always really cute dear.
Best of luck to you and your baby.

Hi, kaka. It's fun "chatting" with baby, isn't it?
My baby boy is about 2 month and 1 week old now. I think he starts the baby language after few days coming back from hospital, he was about 3-4 week old. They sound so cute, like "a....yiu...eh...oh..." and some other cute sounds.
I have been told that normally baby will call "dada" first instead of "mama". It does not matter for me if he call dada first.
Have fun! Happy mylotting.

Both of my boys first words were Da Da, meaning daddy. Mum Mum, meaning mommy soon followed. I didn't think my husband would ever come down off of his cloud! LOL
The oldest one was about 6 months old. The youngest was just a bit younger, I think because he had the other one around encouraging him

My daughter was under a month old when she said her first "word". It was "okay". She was just mimicking what I said (I think I said, "Let's go out, okay?") and she repeated what I said. There were several instances like that, but of course she didn't understand yet what she said. The first word she actually learned to say was "Dada".

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji,
Our side , we have strong belief that newly born babies should pronounce 'BUA", this is
realion of child with child's father's sister. It is believed that, child will have
lot of wealth by pronouncing this word and mostly my children came out with that. It
is also taht we also speak similar words, which child picks up.
May God bless You and have a great time.

My baby is 10 mos old but I remember hearing her say "adada" and "agugu" when she's still 2 mos old. At 4 mos, we were blown away when she said "lights" three times after we did while pointing to her a lovely chandelier. Now, she's bubbly and talks a lot. Says mama and papa (sometimes dada) non-stop. She could also say "hinde"( meaning no in English) while shaking her head in disagreement as early as 6 mos old. We are totally amazed by her.

My baby started to speak slow. He started to speak when he was nearly 2 years old. Frankly, I was worried about it at that time because he spoke later. Later when he started to speak, then he has a big improvement and now he has never stop speaking:) This is why I often tell others not to worry about it when their babies speak late. Once the baby speaks, it won't stop:)

My babies both said Mama first. My oldest son then said "lo-lo" while pointing at a loader which is a big construction truck. I was thrilled when they started talking!

My son is one year and a half now ,his first word maybe just can say the firt sound was "ar:" only when he was 7 days.and only on his 5month he can pronounce "mama"(means mumy)and then,"baba"(means dady),I'm so happy when the first time he can pronounce these, though it's no meanings for him that time.he can really call mom and dad when he was 9 monthes.

My youngest daughter who is now 18 months old started saying little words like dada and bye bye when she was like 9 months but she surprised us on her first birthday when she uttered her first complete sentence. After giving her her birthday cake she clearly stated "I wanna get up". Knowing that nobody would belove us and just because it was so cute we had to video tape it. Check out the link if you want:
