I started to sign up facebook this january and i already have 62 friends. I usually add my friends that i knew personally. But some of my friends here in my account were not necessarily my friends. Some of them just add me to be his/her friend in the games/applications in facebook? How bout you, do you really know you r friends in your facebook account?

hahaha! Yeah, that's the funny thing about facebook. I actually have 300+ friends now, but probably the people I really know there are like less than 100. I think it's because, the purpose of facebook really is more on the professional side. Cause I get a lot of requests from people I don't know but when I try to look on their profile, it's either they were from groups that I have joined on facebook, or we have a friend in common with the same interests. So I just add them up, cause we'll never know, I might need some good network if the time came that I need to change career or look for a job.

Yes I know all my friends on Facebook because the only ones I accepted as friends is people I know or knew and my family members.

I think I have probably around 60 friends myself. Some of my friends were friends of my friends that I accepted on facebook.

I have a ton of friends on Facebook, nearly 200 actually, and I know all but one. They are not by any means all close friends, in fact some of them I merely went to grade school with nearly 20 years ago, and haven't seen them since! But I love to have contact with all sorts of people who have been in my life at one point or another, and I love Facebook because I can see how they are today, pictures of their families, etc. The only person I have not met is a girl who doesn't even speak English-but we have the same last name, which is quite uncommon, so we may possibly be related. LOL Of course we don't talk though because neither one of us can understand each other.

Facebook is far different from sites like this or Triond or Twitter. I only add people who I have known at some time in my life. They may not necessarily have been my friends but it is cool to re-connect with childhood friends, to keep my family members up-to-date on what's going on in my family's life, etc. I have had some people ask for my friendship and I have turned them down because I have never heard of them. I have messaged them and asked them who they are and how I know them. When they don't respond it means we have absolutely no prior connection and they will not be listed as my friend. I found a complete stranger attending my "garden" and I don't know HOW they can do that or why. On Triond I make friends so we can support each other's writing, the same with Twitter. I have had complete strangers request to follow me on Twitter but when I see that they are writers I accept them. You never know when that editor or publisher might be reading your work.

I know most of the people I added as friends! Some are my family's friends and some are relatives. Facebook has many applications and many ways to meet people. It is very much like a reunion site, only it does not charge people! I like that very much!

I am new in facebook. Well not exactly that new, I have been a member for quite a time but have never signed in after the sign up before. Just recently I started to get active. The reason... I get to connect with my old friends and classmates in high school as well as in college. I was also able to get in touch with my co workers whom I met during my previous jobs. So I could say that I personally know all my friends in my facebook account as of now.
