Hello Flyingheart,
Yes I had to write a thesis before I graduated from University ... and now I am doing my master degree I would need to write another thesis LOL. When it comes to thesis, I am pretty much on the same boat as you. I am not a good writer and like you I spend hours to write even a simple report.
I guess the key to writing up a thesis is perseverance. I do not think there is an easy way to do your thesis (unless you pay someone else to do it which I personally would not recommend). However, there are things that can help make it easier for you to write your thesis:
1. Pick a topic that you like - This is not always possible, in fact most of the time, it may not be available. If that is the case, the next best thing to do (well it was what I did anyway) was to learn to like the topic you have chosen.
2. Get as much relevant reading materials as you can - library and internet are pretty good source. Make sure that you start listing the relevant ones in a draft "References" section for your thesis, this way you dont have to try to remember where you get your material from.
3. While reading through materials, highlights the relevant bits and it would be good to summarise these points so that you can keep track of it at a later date.
That's basically how I did my first thesis. In addition to that, I tried to read at least two A4 pages worth of materials during weekdays and did more during weekends.
It would be good to start early, however as long as you keep at it I am sure you will be able to write a good thesis. I did not even start mine until almost the end of the first semester (not because I did not want to, but because I was trying to make sure that I am on the right track so I started by making summary first LOL).
The good thing about completing something challenging by yourself is that if you come across difficult situation in your later life you can always remember that at one time you face similar situation and you manage to get through it successfully :). Hope that helps and all the best for your thesis!

I did write a thesis before graduating and it is the most difficult part for me because of many reasons. One, I have to think of my own problem. Second, we have to do our own computations on statistics because we're math major and the the top most reason, there's NO computer yet. Computer then was not as accessible as today. We don't have our family computer then since it is very expensive to have one that I have to rent outside just to use one. When the time comes that we have to submit our work, I did not sleep for almost 3 days just to make sure I finish in time or else I won't graduate! My professor was so strict that she will scold us from head to toe if we pass a minute later. It was really tiresome for me since I am doing my thesis and my practicum at the same time! Gladly, when I have to defend my thesis, all the panelist agreed to the result of my survey that they did not give me a nerve - racking inquiry about it. I just presented my conclusion and suggestion and I passed! I still keep the thesis I wrote just for future reference in case I decided to pursue a graduate degree. Looking back now, all the pressures they gave me back then will not be equaled to the pressure I am having now in the actual field work. So it is normal to be grumpy over your thesis now but remember that the one who will benefit from it will no one but you. Good luck to you! It's good that no matter how busy you are, you still have time to do mylotting!
