When you have the new cellphone, will you sell your old one because you don't use it? I prefer to keep the old cellphone as a backup. If one day my new cellphone doesn't work, at least I still have a cellphone to use. It won't be worth a lot for an old cellphone. So I am not going to sell it.

I have not a cellphone for years now... in the past... that was what i used to do... sell the old one in order to buy a new one... but nowadays... i just keep the old one or give them to a relative who needs a cell phone more that i do... right now i use two... both are already old... and i need to wait another month to get a new one from my line provider...

If the trade in is just worth a little, I would just keep it as a backup phone like you. But if the phone is still worth quite a substantial amount, might as well let go of it fast as if I need a backup phone, a Nokia one just cost less than RM100 these days but of course it is monochrome & with the most basic features but how cares anyway. As long as I can make my calls, send text & of course receiving them as well!~

well, i have used three phones. the first phone i used was given to my family member, and i keep my cellphone as a backup. i don't think many people in China will buy secondhand cellphone, coz cellphones are cheaper and cheaper in China. so most people would prefer a new one to a secondhand one. have a nice day and happy mylotting!

Hello youless. I have used a few cell phones. Exactly speaking, I have used altogether five cell phones, but one of them was lost while traveling at a local scenic spot with the brand TOP. My first Kejian 60 cell phone is still kept in the drawer. It is out of use because its signal is very weak and the battery won't last long. I have given my Nokia 1100 to my sister this May Day. Now I am using another two new cell phones, one of which was given to me for free when I paid two hundred yuan for credits and the other of which is the best one I have ever used so far, which is a Chinese brand--Yitong. I like it best. I don't like to sell the phones I have every used. Besides it is cheap to sell them. Why not keep it as a memory? Thank you for the discussion. Good day.

Well, if I was to sell my Razr to someone, #1 it would not fetch much, and #2 I think it would have to be someone on AT&T as that is the carrier I had the phone with. But actually I have never really thought about it, but if someone offered me $10 or $20 for my phone I would not turn it down for sure.

I do not sell the old ones. I think when I have something for a long time, maybe over one year, i will keep it for long time. I do not know the reason, just want to do so.

I will sell my old cellphone if I have a new cellphone provided that the old cellphone is still working fine. Though its don't worth a lot for an old cellphone but there might people who could not afford a new cellphone and could get a used old cellphone as its much cheaper.

Hi there you less. I have not sold any of them but instead i kept them in my home. For some time now, Vodafone (my service provider) opened a campaign that asks people to throw away the junk to them, in order to process the old phones (through a green way) and i am thinking to throw there the really old phones. However, if i am going to get a new phone, i was thinking to sell my current one, as it is in good shape and i could get some nice extra money.
Overall i don't know for sure if i would sell it in the end, i guess i will see about it when i actually get a new phone.

Yes, off course i will sell it, especially if I am not used again. I don't like to keep waste things in my house unless when i sell it and the price is to low, maybe i keep for collection

The moment my new mobile phone comes in June--nah, I'm not selling this one. It was my father's graduation gift, so it's got a lot of sentimental value to it that money can't ever buy.

Some cel phone companies want them back as trade ins. When I get upgrades I take my phone to the domestic violence shelter. I just feel it goes to good use there.

I usually trade mine in, I get money knocked off the new phone if I present my old phone when I buy the new one, it makes a difference and it saves me a few quid, although I don't change my mobile phone very often because I don't use it much and they seem to last for me and I don't upgrade, it's just a phone to me. Yes it's good to have a back up, but to be honest for me I have never needed a back up and I prefer the trade in offers I get.

Hi youless, I haven’t sold any old phone before. I still keep several cell phones as well as their chargers with me in the drawer. I usually would lend any of them to my relatives or friends in case their cell phone is sent for repairing, or they are looking for a brand new one to replace the out of function old one.
I cherish the two, a LG mobile phone with lid and camera as well, and the other is a Nokia phone. Both the phones are precious presents from my husband and colleagues. I keep them as remembrance
Have a nice day and posting.

U r right that there should always be a back up as a cell if ur old cell is not working. If u purchase new cell then it doesn't mean that old cell is useless. It will come in use when ur old cell will fell in wter.At that time u will feel the imortance of old cell.
Thanx
