Apartment renting questions...

If you have a horrible credit score, but a good renting history, would that affect you from getting into an apartment?
I have never broken a lease, I lived in three different apartments, I never damaged one, the most that has come out of a deposit when leaving was $75 for not having the carpets professionally cleaned. And I was only late once by a few days but paid the late fee as well...

it really depends on the landlord,some are sticklers with the credit score,some aren't.a lot of times if you can pay extra in advance toward the future rent,they'll be more inclined to look the other way at a bad/non existant credit score.having a co-signer can help too (like a relative).
