Well she is probably just starting to shed her winter coat. Since winter is about over and it is getting warmer, most dogs are starting to shed a lot to keep cool. It can look patchy and weird as they shed the winter coat but brushing them and pulling out the clumps can help it come out faster and keep it from making your house a complete hairy mess! I would not worry though! :o)

Most dogs shed at the change of season when it changes from cold to warm to make sure that they don't end up with so much fur that they overheat. I suggest getting a nice doggie brush and brushing out all that extra fur and then it won't end up all over the floor as much.

What kind of dog is it? My daughter has a dog and she sheds twice a year. Spring and fall. Its a Siberian Husky, she sheds her winter coat in the spring for the hot summer months and she sheds again in the fall so she can get her winter coat.

Depending on what type of dog you have, it could be time for her/him to molt. Which means they periodically shed their fur. It helps the dog get rid of the thicker winter coat that has grown in, and will make them cooler. Just brush your dog daily to help cut down on the pile of dog hair around the house. This is perfectally normal, but if you have a breed that typically does not shed, i would say that maybe you would need to take your pup to the vet to see if there's a problem with the dog's diet. Best of Luck!

if it is hot the dog will need to lose fur to be able to lose bodily heat faster as in winter when it is cold the dog will have a thick coat of fur to maintain a constant body temperature, there is nothing to worry about as most animals do this.
