What Old means? are you afraid of being old?

many of us wants to live young and longer, but no one wants to be look old, being old is a natural process. we can also say that aging is the decrease of function and performance of organ system of the human body which cause the decreasing capacities of body reserve so that finally cause of the death. but being old is gaining, gaining more wisdom,gaining experience in life, a high degree of understanding to everyday lives, and a more extraordinary view on our surrounding,on the people,on our world. dont be afraid of being old. who can stop it, its a natural and fair process, not even the plastic surgery can stop this. even if you're old a lot of positive or good things can be done. what the important is how to deal with this comfortably.

Hi ana, You are absolutely right, the important thing is dealing with age in a comfortable way because there is only one way to stop from growing old, and few are in a hurry to do that. There is beauty in every age if we look for it and you have already mentioned some of the positive sides. I am 69 years old and I look forward to every day and always expect that something good is going to happen. I am happy and healthy and it didn't come about by worrying about getting old. Take every day as it comes and be sure that old is at least ten years older than you are at the moment.Blessings.

You should not be afraid of being old.... it the life phase that everyone has to go through but you need to lively from your heart...what say ?

I really try to think about the gaining, I make a lot less mistakes in my 30's! I have learned to really think and rethink and can say, I have gained a lot. I have also gained weight and wrinkles...ugh. I can't run like I used to and just feel older, I am not as fun (having 2 boys - 1 special needs) has added to this. I really am not too unhappy overall; but it really hits ya how fast life really travels.
