What's your opinion on "those parties"?

I have a friend on a social networking site who has been trying to recruit girls to make extra money by doing "those kind of parties". I have sat back and read the things she has done, accomplished, and the amount of money she has brought in. I understand she is up there in rank and that has a lot to do with the cash flow, but I guess my reasoning for this post is how to people feel about the women who do this type of job? I come from a fairly open family but if I was to go back and tell them hey I'm selling toys & bedroom items I don't know exactly how well that would be taken. She has gone on A LOT of vacations because her business pays for it, she also wins vacations, she makes almost $1,000 in a couple nights just by selling the products, she seems to be doing really well. I actually had a friend whom had one of those parties at her house and thats how I met this lady and was shocked by how much she was walking home with off of the girls there. She seems to be doing so well that she has quit her normal 9-5 job in a very reputable company to do these parties full time from her home. Her job seems to be sky rocketing as we fall deeper and deeper into this recession. With the economy down is it something you would consider even with the consequences of gossip and fingers being pointed as "being that girl"? I have been a stay at home mom now for almost a year and I would love to be able to help my spouse from the comfort of my own home and know out daughter is being taken care of... I just don't know if its something worth doing... If any other fellow Mylotters do these parties, I would love to hear your success or even unsuccessful stories about this!

Lol, men can't join "those kinds of parties"? Whatever sounds strange that a company would recruit people to do that.
