I am a mineral makeup convert. Ever since I started using it, I splurged not only on the makeup alone but also on makeup brushes. The only difficulty I have with it, is putting on mineral blush. Even with the specified angled brush that artists require, I seem to still have difficulty applying it, and go back to my pressed makeup blushes. I searched the youtube on how to apply it, but had no luck. Any advises?

Puff your cheeks out like you have to much food in there and start in a circle motion on the ball of our cheek (apple) and then wisk it up. Do that a few times but DO NOT OVER DO IT! lol don't want you looking like a lady of the night... Are you good with the dip and tap? Make sure you are not putting to much on the brush to begin with.

i've ben trying the "inverted comma" technique of applying it. I don't know if it has something to do with the pressure of my hand, or if i used a wrong size for my blusher brush, or the my choices for the shades of my blush are too strong for my skintone. All I know is that, I always end up looking like a clown on each attemt...lol!

What skin tone are you? Blush is so hard. I honestly stopped using it a very long time ago just because I was the same way, I could never get it right. Funny thing is, when I apply it to other people, I can get it to look great! What type of mineral makeup are you using? One thing you could do is go to a department store makeup counter and see if they will show you some of their mineral blushes and have them show you how to apply it. Another thing is if you haven't already check out eyeslipsface.com (REALLY cheap makeup but it is great stuff!) you can get blush makeup for like $3 a bottle or something like that and you can always get several different shades till you find the perfect shade! That's what I did with all the eye shawdows (the minerals). I basically bought every single shade and then gave the rest away to my friends lol.

that's helpful. sadly, i am in the philippines...sephora and elf won't ship products here :-( although i tried sending them mails for a request. I have medium skintone, with yellow undertones (atleast that's how i categorized myself, they said i should check the color of my veins, mine is green) i am using local mineral makeup products. i already ordered from everyday minerals for samples, but it'll take weeks for my orders to arrive.i am hoping there are other good quality makeup brands that'll ship here. The only ones who shipped here aside from EDM is Benefit :-)

I have heard about mineral make up but do not know why it is different from other make ups I am used to wearing.
