Cellphone-Power On?......Power Off?

Whether you have a cellphone/tracfone, do you turn your phone off at night when you go to bed or do you leave it on all the time? I try to turn mine off every night, though there are times I've forgotten. I also have a home (landline) phone, but would'nt probably if I had a cell. Mines a tracfone and basically used for emergencies.

I leave it on even on the night for a very practical reason. My friends know that by night they have to call to the cellphone only if it's an emergency. So, if my landline calls I do not answer, but if it is my cellphone, I certainly do. I know some people that do the reverse thing, they turn off the cellphone and people call there, if he is still awake he will answer and if not, it means that he went to sleep.

If only some of my family members would remember that. Otherwise, I would leave it on most of the time at night. Unfortunately I have two family members, one by blood, one by marriage, that when they get drunk/partying, they call and it doesn't matter what time of night just to call. Leaving wild messages and what not. They both call our cell phones and home number. So, we are double whammy!

Most of the times I leave my cell phone on... I mean, of course there are few times I turned it off sometimes because I'm on vacation & I don't wanna be bothered or I'm so tired after work, I just don't wanna talk to anybody... When I buy a new battery, I usually turn the phone off & charge it over night, then let it die the next day & charge it again with it turned off... Then after that, I'll leave it on...

for me, I turn it on even at night. I just like it that way. Even though we have a landline at home, i still want to turn on my cp even at night.

I guess I was fooled, more people leave their cp on all the time. Day and night, and I'm probably going to join you all at least a few times a week when I have to get up very early. The alarm clock idea is wonderful.

I always leave my cellphone on because I use it as an alarm clock also. I would wake up every morning at the right time because of my cellphone. I also don't have a landline number and thus it is important for me to keep it on.
Do you have a specific reason to turn of your phone?

That's what I should do! Good thought. I've done that once or twice when I got my phone, but faded out of that.
