Do you always bleach your whites?

When I am washing my white clothes, I try to use bleach every time because I want our whites to be just that..white. In my house, it is hard to remember exactly what was washed each time I do laundry, so in order to maintain the whiteness of our whites, I use bleach each time. Ido not, however; use the full amount because I know that bleach will eat at the clothes and make the material thinner over time. On the rare occassion that I am out of bleah, I use oxy cleaner instead. This way, they still get pretty white, and when I do bleach them, there is a better chance of them still being white.
Do you bleach your white clothes every time you wash them?

I would agree with you about not bleaching whites all the time. I would think that the chemicals in the bleach would eventually eat your clothes. It is a thought. I do notice when I wash my clothes to much just with regular detergent wears the clothes out to.

not for me. bleaching every time you wash? that sounds expensive an harmful to the clothes, don't they wear out? or do you only do it to the completely whites? I would never bleach my whites every wash I'd probably bleach 'em once a month or so. Every time's gonna be a bit harsh for the material i think.

I don't bother. I live alone and nobody sees anything I have. The last person to visit my house was a couple of little kids that had just moved in and they don't care what anything looks like. In fact, the last adult to be in my house was my mom last year.
I think of my whites as "mature". They last longer if I don't bleach them and I don't really care if they are dingy as long as they are serviceable.

I was taught to use tide with bleach alternative at my grandparents. At my mom's I believe we just used fabric softener. Now that I live with my fiance his mom says she uses bleach and fabric softener. I don't know which one I'll do but I might start using my own little mix, ofcourse that is when my fiance and I have our own washing machine and dryer / own house... lol.

Yes we do. We want our white clothes clean and white so we bleach them. We laundry our clothes every 2 days because it is hard to do the laundry everyday. My mother always bleach our white clothes and up to now we still continue what she's doing. Sometimes colored clothes had accidentally drop of bleach. So what we do we separate the washing of whites to colored clothes to avoid that.

I do. Just like you, I want whites to be whites, not yellowish or brownish or full of stains. I also bleach my colored clothes if I have to. Good thing, there are commercially available bleach for colored clothes nowadays. Not only that I feel my laundry cleaner with the bleach, I think some unwanted bacterias were eliminated as well.

i don't bleach my whites or my family's whites for, i think, no one notices if the whites are bleached or not. or if they do notice it it is no big deal as other things are worth pondering on and doing in the house.
