humanity is destroying the earth. it is the rich industrialized countries that are polluting and destroying natural resources and animal habitat left and right. they waste everything and want more. it seems like there is no end to the consumer's trivial and self serving desires.
there are thousands of toxic and synthetic chemicals being released into the environment and more are being "created" every day. what people need to do is change their attitude to the environment and see it as a precious resource that must be protected. if we can persuade others including our elected officials, we could get ourselves out of this mess. at the rate we are going, things don't look too good.
think about even the harmful household waste we send into the environment with all our everyday actions. in industrialized countries, every household mostly all have harmful toxics in the laundry room, bathroom and under the sink.
there are alternatives to most of the products we use. we can make natural cleaners out of vinegar, baking soda, natural soap, water, salt, oil and lemon juice. care2.com is an excellent resource of the personal and household recipes for cleaners and all that. we don't have to pollute every time we do something. we can do these things at home, work and play.

We are destroying the earth because we pollute the waters by throwing trash and other things in rivers and streams, the air gets destroyed because of smoke from factories and cars etc. The land get demolished simply for a new mall or something we really don't need. We have to start taking care of this earth. It's the only one we have.

I hope that humanity is not destroying the earth. I think that there are a lot of problems but noone is destroying the world.
Why do you think so?
