Woud you decide to keep your own customs or follow the customs of the country?

If you have moved to live in another country.Would you decide to keep your own customs or follow the customs of the country?Which do you prefer?

I don't think I'll be able to toss aside my own custom. It's true that we need to adjust ourselves to the new place but doesn't mean I have to toss aside what I have been taught all the way I grow up. I still respect the customs of the place but my custom is what made me, it's natural to follow it even in a different place.

I personally think if you move to a new country you are the outsider and need to fit in. I think that you should have respect for that countries laws and custom's first and foremost tho practice your own customs in the privacy of your home. I also think you should learn the language as I think it is abit ignorant for people who come to a new country and dont know a word of the local language. If I moved to say india or china or where ever I would expect my life style and eating habits to change to fit in with that country I would also learn the language as its respecting the country you want to be part of.
