I twitter to promote my etsy shop. However I haven't ever gotten a sell from it just lots of lookers. I am wondering if it will ever payoff. I do a lot of advertising for my etsy shop you have to promote your shop ALOT or you will not get sales. heck even if you promote yourself like crazy you still might not get any sells. So do you twitter? Do you use it for promoting your business? Or strictly as a social tool?

I joined Twitter when some of my friends told me about it. I used to have my Associated Content articles posted to it using their automatic feeder but it drove me crazy. It would post them all at once so it would create ten or fifteen posts and that's not going to get your reads. If anything it is going to make people "unfollow" you because of mass postings. I know some people that use it to promote themselves or their business and that is great but when someone posts more than 20 - 30 things and it's all basically the same stuff it is an abuse of the site. That's one of the many reasons why it locks up or you get the "too many tweets" message.

When I Twitter it's all about being social for me. I'm not trying to promote anything aside from what is going on in my life. I don't have a shop or crafts to really worry about so I don't use it for that type of thing. However I'm not saying that it couldn't come in handy for that, it's just not what I'm using it for at this point. I mostly am using it to follow other sites or people right now.

I must have joined twitter at one time, because I get notes that people are following me on twitter, but I do not recall doing so, and I have not, to my knowledge, put anything up on there. I will follow one of those links sometime. I just do myLot socially right now.

I think Twitter can be beneficial into extending that word of mouths, but to clinch a sale, it has to depend on the targeted traffic. If the people that follow you are not customer-oriented or not into purchasing anything, chances are you won't get sales. But if they are sales oriented, and are on the prowl to look for a particular service or product, they might buy or subscribe. It is like a trial thing with Twitter. But most people use it to gain exposure to their writings and stuff like that.

Yeah I use twitter to promote my blog as well as to get the latest news and updates from different companies..although I only get extremely little traffic from twitter..I think you should use linkmarket.com..this might help you get traffic..! Good Luck !

I think I have a Twitter account around here somewhere, that I started way back when someone else told me about the site, but I have not been on there in a long time. I prefer Facebook, MyLot, and Gather, when I want to socialize on line. I like the wriging and money i can make on MyLot and Gather, and I like the various Facebook applications.
