Are Study Centers Helpful?

I am an incoming 4th year student and I am attending a summer review program to help me review the past lessons I encountered. The study center was not a one on one tutorial, but a group tutorial. The teachers who teaches us were also students like us, the only thing is that they are college students. They were smart and very approachable. It's just that some of the lessons they discuss like logarithm were not taken at my junior year. Do you think I just wasted money, time and effort at my review center?
