I like them, but I rarely make them. I really like them in the grape jelly/chili sauce mixture. My mom used to make those when we were kids. I have never had a meatball sandwich and I never put them in spaghetti. I might have to sometime though.

The grape jelly type you make a regular batch of meatballs and add a little worcestershire sauce to the mixture. Then when they are cooked you put them in a crock pot with a jar of chili sauce and half a jar of grape jelly and let them cook in the crock pot then serve over rice.
It tastes really good

We have always done the Little Smokies that way, either chili or barbecue sauce, with grape or currant jelly. I am sure the meatballs would be yummy that way as well.

I love meatballs! I purchase the frozen kind at Sam's wholesale club and make everything from spaghetti and meaballs to meatball subs with lots of gooey mozzarella cheese and pasta sauce!
My favorite meatballs though, are from a little deli not far from my husband's office. They cater, and I've often had their Taquila and Lime Meatballs! Hmmm...I can almost taste them now!

I think meatballs are more common in US cuisine than in the UK, and you certainly don't see them in Portugal much.
I used to buy the odd can of meatballs in gravy for the kids when they were on offer, but the canned ones don't appeal to me at all. My bloke makes really good meatballs from scratch though. He normally makes a tomato based sauce for them with mushrooms.
You've got me thinking bout the combination of grape jelly and chili now! sounds interesting!

I also like meatballs. I like to prepare them in a nice pasta red sauce that simmers for a little while during the day. I also like to add some spices to the recipe and some pasta such as spaghetti or rigatoni.
I will eat this type of dish every now and again because I know that my family likes it the way I make it.
There are several different ways of preparing meatballs. Sometimes I will just make them from the ground beef and sometimes I will just by them in a bag frozen.
Either way it works out pretty well. I have heard of jelly added to the meatball mixture but never heard of the chili sauce and rice.
I can imagine that there are several different concoctions out there. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

I like meatballs. We do not eat spaghetti, but I like them over a potato. I also like them in a mushroom sauce, over rice. Hubby likes meatball sandwiches. I like any kind of sauce, really.

I love meatballs, any way i can get them!! My husband makes a really good meatball in Thai eanut sauce. I have no clue how he does it, but he whipps it up in the crockpot, and it's absoultely wonderful. I also love the meatball subs that are sold at subway. Now that I think of it, I could go for one of those right now. Too bad they're not open at 2 AM. LOL

I am a vegetarian so I do not eat meatballs but when I go shopping again I'm going to get the ingredients to make my son some meatballs. I have the beef I just need the vegetables that I am going to puree up to mix into them. He wont eat vegetables so I am hoping that if I make him these meatballs he will like them and it will allow him to eat healthier.

HEY! I am trying to diet here! Those all sound very good. I can just barely remember my last meatball sandwich. YUM! That was a while ago. I don't recall any with grape jelly but that certainly sounds good. I like them with alot of spices and alot of sauce in spaghetti. I used to make a pretty good spaghetti and the kids loved it. Haven't for so long. May have to revive the recipe!
