Welcome to mylot.I too relocated to this city three years back and with my language barrier here, I found life totally different.Though my chores did keep me busy, earlier I waS surrounded by a bunch of people, friends, students what not! I did miss them all and looked desperately to the internet for diversion.. I learnt typing only after coming here and also MS WOrd.While typing answers in yahoo i came to know of this site and have been a member here for 3 years.This site is great and you can make many friends here.

I can understand how you feel. I grew up in Tacoma Washington and moved down to Georgia about two years ago. Being 4,200 miles from home has not been easy for me. It really isn't hard making friends, but making "real" friends can be difficult. All I can suggest is for you to have patience, and not be to anxious to make new friends. Finding a good church is a great place to start, but if your not into religion, chatting on myLot may compensate for your boredom.
