Cricket seems to be becoming a batsmens game. Higher scores, more boundaries, more centuries, fewer wickets falling etc.
Why is this. Is it because T20 and ODIs are more now? Are the piches becoming more batsmen friendly, outfields faster and boundaries shorter?
Or are batsmen in general becoming better?
Are the rules like powerplays and wides making it easier for batsmen?

Cricket is actually a batsman's supportive game. The verdict actually is in favor of the batsman. For example,In leg before wicket the benefit of doubt is always given to the batsman. And yes,the quality of batsmen are definitely improving, its a direct influence of T20,the batsmen are given less time to settle thus they are forced to play at their best from the first ball.I love this fact.

Powerplays have played a role in it, but its also due to the decrease in the bowling standards. There is not a bsingle bowler in the world on whom can be said as of the caliber of what we had with Mc Grath, warne, Walsh.. and the whole list. Pitches also have are now becoming batting friendly, the best example can be given of the recent Indian tour to New Zealand where they got lot easier for bating wickets then expected. Other than this bats man have always dominated the cricket from the beginning, and its a batsman's oriented game, most of people go to watch batting rather than bowling.
