Yep, the surgery was on tuesday and i took IV since the doctor had to pull out all the four wisdom tooth. Oh man, even now its hurting. Can anybody tell when I can start eating solid foods. Even now I am taking v8 veggies and fruits juice. My tummy is growling because of the medicines he has given. I am scared to eat solid foods. Share you experiences here friend. It will be really helpful to me...

I have two dental surgeries from the past for removing my two wisdom tooth (one at a time only). After the surgery, I went home and ate ice cream. I can ate solid foods but I have to chew on the other side of my mouth. After a week, the stitches were removed from my gums. I never had any problems, my cheeks or gums didn't swell as I take the prseribed medicines and follow what the dentist advice me to do. My younger sister had a bad dental surgery. Hers bleed a lot during the first day and swelled. It really hurt a lot for her.

You usually eat soft foods for the first 24 hours. I had a jaw tooth pulled last Wednesday (last week), and just started chewing on that side yesterday because of the big hole. But I've never had a pain from the tooth. Make you some soft foods like mashed potatoes, potato soup, soup, hot cereal, etc. All of that is easy on the mouth. I came home and made vegetable soup and ate that the very same day. I once had 4 pulled the same day and went to my Mother's to pick up my kids and she had us soup made which I ate.

Oh, get brave. It's not going to hurt you to eat. Just be careful with anything hard. It won't hurt your gums for soft food to get in there. It's easily rinsed out. If my Mother can have her upper teeth pulled because of a gum problem, have her upper teeth put in her mouth the very same day, and then come home and cook supper and eat, you should be able to eat with only 4 wisdom teeth missing. Really, it's nothing to eating soft food and it'll make your stomach feel much better than V8 Juice does.
