Is this a legitimate site or is it a scam.

Last night I came across this site and I was wondering if any of you wonderful people out there have had any experience of them. They are called Freelance Home Writers and at the end of registration they ask for credit card details to pay the sum of 2.95. Yes I know it's a very small sum of money but once they have my credit card details who says that thats all they are going to take. I have been scammed to often to trust anyone. I am hoping that someone can answer this.

Any site that requires you to pay them to start earning money should instantly ring the alarm bells and you should not sign up.
If you were to purchase something online I also would never used credit card details, I would use a verified paypal account, meaning if they did try to take extra money, you could file a dispute.
