India

Meterological records predict that this will be the Hottest summer that Chennai could have ever witnessed. The Agni Natchatram or Kathri veyil is yet to start but the impact now itself have gone much higher. I feel the humidity is much higher than any year and the heat waves have started to blow at its vigorous best. What you people feel about this summer?

I am in Chennai, everyday it is getting hotter and hotter. I am scared of the Agni Nakshatram season. I will go out only in the evening when I reach office. By the time I reach home from office, I will be sweating a lot and I have take some rest in AC before I cook dinner. It's sad. Thanks for your valuable responses to my discussions.

Hi daliaj. Yes the hottest season in chennai has arrived and the dreadful thing is, only after Agni natchatiram is over, we could feel the real intensity of the Heat waves. This time, it is expected that the temperature could rise upto 45^C around May 20's. Summer showers are the only possible saviours for us as of now and we need to suffer a lot if those showers deceives us. But one Positive thing about Chennai summer is, you sweat a lot. The sweat protects you from the Sun strokes and heat burns. Lets see how long this summer penitrates.

Man yesterday was Horrible. Till yesterday I managed without the AC but yesterday was too hot and too humid. I could feel the humidity when i was walking. The sea breeze was not pleasent. If its the situation now, then God save us during Kathiri. I think the ACs must be in full flow everywhere. Chennai is getting hotter each year!

Yes it is getting hotter every day and the Agni natchatram is the worst to come. The humidity factor is palying a major role but unfortunately there is no summer showers this time which brings in a lot of discomfort for the residents of Chennai. Sea breeze have started to set in some 3 days back and its a only solace for us as of now. Till June end, this will be the situation and we need to bear with this somewhat. No other go.
