Would you allow your kids to have a computer in their own room?

I would say Yes, Because I don't find anything bad with it, Giving your Kid a Personal Computer may stand very fruitful in his skill development, and you can also give some interesting stuff to your children to do using there computer and I'm quite sure that it will stand helpful for your child to improve his interest towards computer and it working process and after a certain period for time you will find that they are much faster then anybody else over there, in all fact about there skills towards the computer. I would suggest that your Child age must be more 10 years to have a Personal computer in there own room. but Till then you can allow them to use the Common PC just for skill development and Consciousness about the Computer, So that they will take a Good Care about it in Future.

Hi, I don't have any kids yet, but if i have one, I think if they are in the right age to use a computer why not. It will be an advantage to the kid if they know how to operate a computer at an earlier age and they will know more about their study in the computer. I think it depends on how the parents discipline their kids. For me, If ever I will make it a point to have them a time limit of using the computers. So that at an earlier age they already know their limitations.

We have a computer in three of the four bedrooms of our house.

I would let my child have a computer in their room but I would not allow an internet connection. I know that doing homeowrk can be easier in a quiet place like a bedroom, that is where I did all of my homework when I lived at home. I also know that there are too many things on line that children can get into and so the internet connection would be in the living room or kitchen only so that I could monitor my kids.
