Disco Week?

The problem Anoop will have is that he enjoys singing upbeat "fun" songs (like Bad and Caught Up) and but he is not very good at it and I'm not sure that he is completely aware of that. Indie pop Kris I think will have the most trouble. I could see Danny pulling off a BeeGees song. I think, because she is so predictable, Lil will go for Donna Summers or maybe Gloria Gaynor. Depending on how strictly they define "disco" Love Child by the Supremes would be a good song for Allison... a lot of low ranges and hard-hitting vocal notes that will work well for her voice. And Matt... really, no idea. To coin a word Simon has used a couple million times throughout the course of 7 years, forgettable. I honestly have enough trouble remembering what song Matt sang from one week to the next let alone how he sang it. Which makes it really hard to assign a song to him.

I hope that Kris can pull it off this week. I really like him and would like to see him stick around for a little longer. I think it will be fun to watch Disco Week.

yes, it is hard for me, an anoop fan, to be comfortable while waiting for tuesday, his two upbeats have been criticized and people seems can not forgive him or refuse to acknowledge him... i do believe previous haters admits he has one of the best voices, their argument now is that he is no showman, im pretty sure there is no point arguing with that... if the show let the contestant sing as how they feel like sing and not put them in a box that they already planned, the contestant will have more room for growth, sure there will be lot of hits and misses, but surely they are open for more styles... why do the judges tell now that you are this kind of artist, you are that kind of artist, you should be swaggering, SHOULD is a word that the judges should avoid using, they at least should have tried using COULD or MAY and let the people decide... well anyway, disco week, sure there is no much expectation, but i am open for surprises... that simon would still criticize simon is no longer an event

Yes you are right it is going to be a tough week for some of them.....Adam will do good with any type of song that he sings because he will make it his own. I look for Allison to do good also...... If they pick the right songs they should do fine... Donna Summer's, and the Bee Gees, had a lot of good music from the disco age....
