Hi there!
I think you have to search and choose for what makes you even more happy and satisfy your needs. Is it the money you get for your services or the service of teaching your students?
Both can give you a good future. Having a bigger salary can help you improve your lifestyle but will it make you happy? If you continue your current work, you said you love to teach and your students loves you too, does it make you happy even with lesser income?
You also have to ask yourself "do I really need a bigger income". Does your present lifestyle isn't enough for you and that you still want more? All these questions will only be answered by you. You know yourself more than anybody else so you know what you want. You just have to listen to what your heart says.
But if I were in your shoe, yes, I would try to cross the road. Not for the money but in search for something new. A new challenge maybe.
Ciao!

I was in your shoes some years back. I had to choose between my students and new jobs in different locations. In my case, choosing students and school became a disaster for me. Looking back now, I feel that I have lost 10 years.
If you are getting the opportunity to earn more, grab that opportunity and look forward to your bright future. I don't want you to take the path that I took.
Yes, if you are earning a lot from teaching (I am assuming that you are teacher), then you can continue with your present occupation.
