I like a nice looking front yard but I am competing with neighbors that have lawn service. What are some cheap ways to my yard look good. We are going to be doing some mulch today? I want to get some nice potted plants

i think plants are nice and just weekly upkeep like mowing and weed removal are the key to making a lawn look nice. this just takes extra work but will save the money that you would be paying a lawn service though.

I went to the local garden center this morning and pick up some new shrubs and we are putting them in this afternoon. Love digging in the dirt

taking the time to use an edger after mowing the lawn makes a huge difference. Adding a raised flower bed, cedar trees things that dont require alot of upkeep. If you get the pots and the potting soil you can always start your own flowers and have all sorts of pretty combos that only cost you the dirt the seed and the pot - then if they die you start something new in the same pot.

Great suggestions thanks for sharing. Putting out the plants really helps it look springy
