I wanted to be a Doctor that operates on people to make them better.
What happened?
My parents wanted to move to Holland when I was 14.We lived in Ajax, Canada.
I was doing very well at school. (Except for the gang that wanted to kill me.) As for my grades, they were finally great because I knew what I wanted to achieve.
We went to Holland, I lost my self esteem, and turned stupid.
Oh well, I am 42 know and studying again. Maybe I will achieve something good.
Take care, have a nice weekend.

hi! good for you, still pursuing studies, i think that is not a problem going old still studying because there's no age limit in studies as long as you want to go... go..go.As we grow old we are still learning, and learning has to limit, there are new thing, thing that we have to know, because we have to. And its up to you if you want or not. thanks

Hello laydee. When I was a kid, I was not quite sure what I wanted to be because I did not know the exact idea or concept of it, but after I got enrolled by the teachers' college, I knew that I would be a teacher after graduation. So ever since my graduation, I have been working as a teacher as my career without having a second change. I love my teaching job and I am very good at it with so many years of teaching experience, but there is so much for me to learn. You know, everything is developing so fast and if I don't keep on learning, I will fall behind the others and my knowledge will be stale. I love to study and love new things to keep me moving forward with the times. Thank you so much for this discussion of yours. Good day.

Yes, teaching while learning. I cannot stop learning. I have to keep studying all the time to renew and upgrade my current knowledge. I have lots of fun learning new things. Thanks for the response, laydee.

Hi, laydee. When I was very young, I wanted to be a teacher so bad. I would go into my uncles room and practice teaching. I would pretend that I had many students in my class. I would imaginary hand papers out to students. I have even used a few of my cousins to be a part of this class too. But now, I don't have this feeling and determination anymore. I used to love going to school bringing back chalk and markers. I would use the room or closet door just so that I can write on it. It was so fun. I did not have an board eraser so, I used a damp cloth to remove the chalk smudge. It was very fun. But now, I don't want to be a teacher anymore. I would rather work in an office doing light secretarial work.

Perhaps you just grew tired of the mundane task at hand. What do you think of trying to change locations or teaching career? You could try to be a trainer or do something else.
I was a trainer and a marketer before I started teaching. I grew tired of looking for clients and just kissing their bottoms so I decided to try teaching since I really loved teaching since I was a kid too.
Perhaps a change of scenery can help or an upgrade of a skill.

i wanted to be an animator.
what happened?
i went to art school, hated it, and had to come to the realization that if i wanted to stay where i was (amish country in pennsylvania), being an animator just wasn't in the cards. i had to find something more practical to my location.

I guess life shows us that what we wanted isn't something we'll ever going to really have, not because we can't have them, but because it wouldn't make us happy in the long run.
However, I am still now regretting the time when I was given a choice to go to medical school. I think I would have been a very good doctor. However, perhaps I won't. Maybe we're put where we are for a purpose that we just don't realize or learn to appreciate just yet.

When i was young i always wanted to be a priest. I dont know why but my parents are telling me thats what i want that time , when i grew up a little i said i want to be a doctor, but the reality is im afraid of blood. Now that im all grown up i just want to be responsible in everything that i do. I want to help my family with all the hardships that we are going through. And lastly i want to have a family of my own to take care of me to love me and for me to love as well. ;)

Hmmm... So now that you're grown up, what do you want to be particularly?
I really think that regardless the type of profession you are going to go into, as long as you're hardworking and would do everything to persevere then you could be responsible and be able to take care of your family.

When I was younger I wanted to be a little of everything it seemed. lol I really wanted to be a teacher at one point, which I am now. I always wanted to be fashion designer too, but I got out of that by middle school. Then I thought I wanted to be a interior designer. One of my best friends went that way and I'm glad I didn't because there is no demand for it where we live and she's now had to find a new career. I went on to be a cosmetologist for a few years and quit that and then went back to school for teaching. I love teaching, but some days I really miss cosmetology. I don't really care for styling hair, but I love doing makeup. I think I may look into being a makeup artist one day. I also do a little photography and modeling on the side, but just as a hobby and I also write for children. I guess I dabble in a lot of things but I honestly just can't seem to feel content doing any one thing.

We wanted to be acknowledged by the whole world. We wanted to become an astronomer or wanted to become the first guy to reach to Marse or wanted to hold the world record of swimming but nothing happened.
Why because I was only dreaming but not doing anything. So, the best answer is I was dreaming and to make the matter worse, i was day dreaming LOL

It's good that you are determined and you know exactly what you want to become, I do hope that you know too how to get there.
As for me, I wanted to be a teacher or a doctor, but I now have a Masters in Business. It's not the same thing, but at least I get to teach people stuff. But it could have been great if I were a doctor, financial problems opted me to settle for something less than the Doctor's profession.

Hmm...I wanted to be a physician when I was in elementary school, but my math and science were not that good LOL. In high school, I wanted to be either a teacher or a journalist. Now?I am an English teacher ( but plan to teach Indonesian because I am Indonesian) and a freelance forum poster for a soccer website ( a businessman bought a website, but unfortunately they have few members. We`re trying to develop the site again) and a translator too. what about you?
