Metal fans scared of liking anything else?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive metal fan, but I like plenty other types of music from simple rock n roll to electro rock.
But many metal fans wont open to all the other genres out there or just too hooked up on the whole metal head tag that they want to keep it pure.
I do have my dark secrets on that note though, you know when you hear a song you just shouldn't like but you can't get it out of your head, you know what I mean ;-]

I'm open to other styles but I just don't like them (if rock is counted as metal), no matter how hard I try. I still like a good bass line when I hear one, though, no matter what music genre 
But unlike many metal fans, I only like a few sub-genres. I even like rap more than something like Black Metal

I'm a metal head and I love pretty much all metal. Everyone has their roots. Like from watching music channels and radio stations. I like some stuff that I won't admit to.

I listen to every kind of music, but i only buy hard rock or heavy metal because it's what i really like.
I like all kind of genres that have a guitar. Electronic, no thanks!
