Keeping up your spirts with hard times

How do you keep up your spirits in hard times? I have not had a job in two months and have struggled along to just make ends meet in those past two months. I just keep working on the internet trying to make some extra cash to pay the bills and that keeps me going and staying focused. I also like cutting out coupons from the newspaper or just from online. I just keep doing the normal things everyday that only any one else would do to keep my spirits high and always looking for a job.

hi your words motivating and encouraging to the hearts who are in pains like u... ya i too face that problem we need to keep our spirits high in our hard times... but why the modern worldly life is so hard for us....coz competitive world puts every individual into trouble...the world is running for centuries it looks as if the world has started now and there is no solution for the problems...there should be a way out....but we are given ignorance too it makes our life more hard.....we need to become informative...but again confusion prevails where will v get right information...information technology industry is there but those industries should reach individual homes...but every where fraud and scam is going on technology is given people misuse it....and so we suffer... suggest some highly paid dollar sites...like u in troubles and difficulties.. bye luv shek india

i have gone through times where i didn't have a job for a year. i remember one summer having turned in 41 cv's/resumes.....the 41th one was the only one that called me to an interview, AND hired me....but this was after months of struggle!!! right now i am also going through some rough times, though it's not really money-related. i try to stay busy, try to talk to people (friends, not strangers lol) to maybe re-focus my thoughts, etc....every day is a struggle but i think i am doing well, considering what i have been dealing with recently! keep your chin up and don't give up the job search! don't be afraid to seek counsel if you need any help. there are social workers and job placement agencies that might be sympathetic to your issues! good luck!

I mostly just hold onto good memories, the support of friends, and general faith (mostly in myself)...yeah, that's pretty much it? Strength is usually something I strive for in every day like so that when the bad stuff happens, I have it when I need it. It helps that I generally try to fight against brain rot as well, so I have things like focus, logic, and critical thinking in times where it counts the most. ^_^' routine doesn't comfort me, and I'm not super into escapism...but it's always neat to see what others do to cope, deal, adapt, etc. To keep strong.

Yea, just keep on living your life, looking forward to the future where anything can happen..During hard times, i'll be optimisti about things, that some people got it much worser than me...And i should be thankful i'm not there yet where all hopes are gone..so press on girl, don't lose hope just yet..=]

I have to feel like I'm doing something productive. I do the earning online, because every little bit helps. I was never a coupon clipper until recently, now I try not to pay full price for anything unless there is no other option. I guess just do your best and know that you are giving it your all.

Well, I always continue to think positive even when things do not look the Best, and then I also am always trying to find more ways to earn extra $$ whether it is via Online or other ways as well. I have a Storage full of stuff I would really Love to sell Via Craigslist, but I need the time, etc. to do this as well.

While it might not be a huge consolation, just remember, there is always someone else that has it worse. When I was in rehab for my leg I saw a lot of people who were worse off than me, it made me think that losing a leg isn't as bad as losing two of them at the same time. Sometimes you have to just sit back and let things happen other times you have to take the bull by the horns. There are a lot of places online that you can make some extra cash - like Associated Content or Epinions. If you like clipping coupons try checking the recycle bins, I know some people turn their nose up at that idea but where else can you get tons of coupons for free? Everyone has their own dark cloud that hovers over them. Instead of looking at it as a negative, just consider it a little bit of shade before the sun comes out again. Wow, that's pretty cheesy coming from someone like me lol. Good luck. I am sure that within the next few weeks your luck will change.

I know where you are coming from on that, I am seperated and for the first time in 3 years I have to get a job just pay bills. But to keep my spirts up I write sometimes poetry or sometimes I work on my book. Movies help, as long as they are comedies and reading does too. It is all about making time for things that you enjoy. I have a set amount of time each day for job applications, interviews and job hinting. Then I have a set time for my son and I to play and watch a kid's movie. At the end of the day my boyfriend and I have time to watch our tv shows and go over the day's progress as far as my work searching has gone. I also make sure to set aside atleast an hour or two to myself for my creative alone time. It makes the days go by quicker and I don't think so much about what I don't have. I look forward to the time I have with my family more by setting out a schedule for myself. It also is a good way to stay focused when I am looking for employment.

Yes, this recession period is too tough and most of the people are suffering very badly due to this. I really pray and wish for this recession to end soon. I am also looking for every opportunity to earn every few bucks online. Even here in my place its too difficult to manage each day and there is no job security at all even for employees. This is very hard time but then we must try to be positive and move on with confidence that situations will change for better.

Its pretty hard to keep your spirits high wen u feel so shaken in every way at some situations. But life jus never gets better.. We have to make it so.. Jus take your time off those hardships n listen to songs.. It soothes your stressed mind. Go out wit your friends n share things whic u feel burdened with .. Don expect help thou.. Jus welcome it if someone does.. Jus relax, take life a bit like a game u already played.. Everytime u are happy u get a sad part n every sad part has a new happy start again someday. Just understand tat life won be this way always n keep doin your work wit a light heart. Hope it helps.. Tak care..

I am very pained to see that economy has hit US to such a great extent. in india the current economic conditions are OK though not booming. here also people have lost jobs but are well protected by their family members. I hope that soon the economy will revive back. till then you will have to keep struggling to meet both ends. this is a general trend going all over the world. best of luck from me and i hope you will get job soon.

I think you just described me completely. I'm going through the same thing. I don't have a job, I'm six months pregnant with my second child and sometimes I just feel like crying. But I can't give up I have to think about my kids. Thats why I'm trying to finish school so that I'll be able to provide for them. Prayer is the only thing that keeps me going day by day.
