The Best Friend

How many best friends can you have? I always thought that being a best friend is something special. Something that you can be proud of. So how come that there are more than one best friend? When you label someone as best it means they are special, they stand out amongst the rest. Thats why its called "best".
Maybe I'm just selfish but the special factor of a "best friend" seems to be gone when your not the only best friend.

I dont believe in having a best friend anymore. I mean everyone out there is so selfish and there is no phrase like "best friend" left ... atleast for me...

it seems you just joined mylot ,first i got to say nice to meet you here dear friend.as i called you friend,i myself have lots of friends in my life ,but i got only a few best friends who really cared about me and give their help to me when soemthing wrong happend to me .when nothing wrong ,they will come to you ,and when something wrong they will stay aways from you ,you will never know whether you should call them friends or not .it is a quite complex question to say or talk about.

I agree with you about the complexity part of the friendship. But then My point is if you are the "best" then why so many right? I mean if you were to give grades to friends then the highest would be the best correct? Thre can't be 2 1st placer. Unless the other one would be 1st place for another category.
