Who is your personal hero?

My parents are my personal heroes. My mother has passed away but she will always be my inspiration. She showed me that all I have to do is put everything in God's hands and things will be alright. She showed me how to live life to the fullest even when your days are already numbered. She saw the beauty in everything and lived her remaining days with as much passion and enthusiasm she could muster. My dad, on the other hand, has always been a picture of strength and compassion. An unlikely combination, but knowing him has made me realize that one can be strong and compassionate at the same time. He wheathered the storms in my mother's battle and never gave up even through the darkest of our days. And he continues to live his life for us, his children, the fruits of his and my mother's undying love.
