well which one would you choose? short life with adventture and fame (30 years old and younger) or long life with content and happiness (70 years old) personally, i would choose to have a long life because i enjoy seeing progress in the world. if i were to die young, i would never be able to see my children grow up and have grandchildren. i wouldnt be able to see how the world's event unfold. the changes in the world in the duration of one person's life time is immense. a generation ago we never knew what computers were, but now it has reinvented our lives

I would choose contentment and happiness regardless of years lived. Sure I'd like to see my children grown and have some grandchildren to spoil. But if my life ended now it would have been full and rewarding even without fame or adventure.

First thing life is not at our disposal and this out and it nullifies your question. given the chance of short and long I would not go for any but would say that the long I am alive I would like to live out in contentment and joy.

its a hypothetical questions, a "what if" type of question questions do not have to be realistic, they just show a sense of character/personality and thought pattern through people's responses

Sure, a hypothetical question is just a question and it is useless to look for its realistic application. Nay be I was too strong over the question. Take it easy...
