Lately I have been trying to make pizza in my own oven, but it never comes out quite the same as the pizza at a regular pizzaria. Does anyone know how to get pizza to come out like the local pizzaria pizza?
So far I am thinking that it is necessary to use very high heat and lots of olive oil. Also I think they add salt to the pizza for flavor.
Anyone know anything else that might be helpful?

Your oven needs a ceramic baking stone, this stone helps to cook evenly , use the max heat your oven gives like 500 or 450 the pizza will be ready in less then 15 minutes. You are right use olive oil and you can add groud pepper and oregano to give it an Italian flavor. I post one pizza recipe if you want you can check it and let me know what you think. Thanks

I believe authentic pizzarias use a stone, wood fired oven. I know that you can buy round slabs of granite specifically for baking pizzas at home. I'm sure that this would improve the flavor since the stone will retain a lot of the heat, unlike the wire racks in your standard home oven. Also, do a bit of research and try to use high quality, authentic ingredients.

Well I am not pizza expert but I am wondering if you bake it flat on the rack of your oven, if not you could try that, but please be careful beacuse it will cook very quick. You will aslo have to turn it a few times to make sure it cooks evenly throughout the pizza. I hope this helps and this is a great discussion to start take care and happy mylotting to you as well.
