Are promises really meant to be broken?

I guess if we know that we cannot do what we had promise then just simply don't promise. Promises created an expectation from the other person. What makes promises painful is when the person who promise, didn't do what they had promised.

It's very difficult for me to trust anyone and to believe someone when they actually make a promise is rare.... so when they break that trust thats it. I probably won't trust them with something as simple as my ant farm after that.. lol... I don't believe that theyre made to be broken. I believe that they are made to test our self will and our faith in each other...

i guess they are things that we cant accomplish because of unavoidable circumstances.... unless there are persons who are just fond of making promises and not do what they have promised then you dont deserve this person at all ..... forget it and just accept the fact that it was never meant for you a all ....
