And that's all the GOP platform is nowadays, words. Think about what the republicans have done. Are they any different than the democrats? Did gov't get smaller? Did spending go down? Did personal and state rights get better? I am in no way telling anybody to abandon the republican party for the democratic party. You can, it will not matter. As long as there are two groups of people who point fingers back and forth at each other, nothing will really get done. It's like pro wrestling. It doesn't matter if Hulk Hogan beat Roddy Piper or vice versa, Vince Mcmahan (the owner) got all the money regardless. I would like people to consider abandoning the republican and democratic parties and go for the Third Parties. I'm tired of that 'you're throwing your vote away' BS. That's something propagated by the big two. I mean come on, we have compromised ourselves long enough. We have let our beliefs in America become marginalized long enough. We have believed we could only choose what's behind curtain one or curtain two long enough.

It's pretty clear that the new "lesser of two evils" is between the two major parties and everyone else. Both major parties have been in power and the only difference was the direction the stinky fingers were pointed.

The tea parties that went on around america this week are being pushed aside by the goverment they are not listening to the American people. This is not about parties democratic or reublican they are both to blame for the mess this country is in. We are tired of the spending, bailouts, taxes. It is time for a change but the change they are taking us in is not a good one

ideally, I want the people in gov't to be worried and start trying to appease me and my ilk. But, in all honesty I don't think I'm going to vote for any incumbents.

to me, a vote cast for "the lesser of two evils" is in fact a wasted vote. there is no such thing as the lesser of two evils, ther is only evil and to cast your vote for the lesser of two evils is a moral compramise and a dereliction of civic duty. I cast my vote based first and formost on who will best support and perform their job in the best interests of the constitution. It is the gold standard I hold anyone I consider voting for to.
