Everyone says what would you buy if you won the lottery with the answer being a car, house or travel but what if you were given a more modest amount of £1,000 what would you spend that on?
I would spend it on getting our back garden looking neat and tidy with some lovely garden furniture. Mind you I might have easily changed my mind before I got to the shops

I would pay all my bills and settle all my credit card charges so I won't be harrassed by collectors anymore. I was really dumb to lend my card to my "bestfriend" and I ended up paying for all his purchases because he can't pay for it. :( Now I feel depressed...

I would put up a nice big fence down one side of my property to keep my nosey neighbour from staring over all the time. This man was so despised in the county where he previously lived - he lived in two towns there and no one liked the man he moved to our county. I can see why Greene County Illinois despised him.

Your County should put up the fence to recompense you having to live by him. Worth asking them?

Oh goodness, I would go on a shopping spree. I would put some money into my savings account and pay a little on my credit card, but then I would probably spend some on clothes and shoes. A girl can never have too many clothes or shoes LOL.

We would save and indulge, We would spend some and then save some, as getting money and not spending atleast some of it would be hard to do. I think though what we would spend it on would depend on what we wanted at the time. Maybe a digital camcorder, or a game system, maybe just a stack of books or furniture for a house, etc.

i am good spender now and i will save big part of it for more important use. and i will not any more fancy things. i will jsut try to invest my money in some small business to make the money grow and find some ways to grow this money. cause money is lost fast. and so we have to be thrift and tacky and 1000 is not that big money anymore.

I have to say right now i feel like i would go and blow it on a few impulse buys. If i got given it i might aswel have fun, as those type of things dont come around very often.

Aww, only $1000? Well.. Lets see. I would probably look for a car, used of course, for around or below that much. Preferably one without much that needs fixing. Anything that runs is fine with me, I wouldn't use it much.
After that.. I would probably just by everyday things that I need, and continue on with life. Maybe spend some to take out some friends, or something. The basics. I'm not really a big spender. I'm rather cheap, actually, so it might actually take me quite awhile to spend ALL the money.

Uhm, I'd probably pay off my debt first and then keep the remaining amount in my savings account for future use. I can't think of anything I'd want to spend on as of the moment and considering the economic situation, it always helps to save.

I would spend it on my home & bills. I would like to buy a few things for my home that I need. And also to make sure my bills was paid for the month just to be a little ahead on a few bills.
