I believe every christian has what I call a signature verse. A verse that speaks directly to you. I'm wondering which verse would that be for you and why? How much of an effect does it have on you? My verse is Job 33:4 "The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." Every time I read this or I recall this verse it just makes me glorify and praise God becaue i think about how he created us, breathed life into us and I'm alive because of Him. So it makes me so happy and peaceful. Even when I'm down I remember that it is the spirit of God that has made me, so surely if he has made me then he has the answer to every problem I can ever face. Zechariah 4:6 explains it better.. "not by might, not by power but by spirit says the Lord of hosts." So I welcome your comments and I would like to know if people out there feel the same way. Thanks.

Psalms 23 (the entire chapter): It goes back to the heart of everything in life. Where you are and where you hope to go. My Grandmother (long since past) took me to church every Sunday and she was the first person I can remember who introduced that chapter to me and that may be part of the reason it sits so strongly all these years later.
Happy Mylotting!

What a great question! I enjoy entering a discussion where there probably, more than likely aren't going to be any arguing or debates, and where we're all "on the same page."
I have several verses that are my favorites, but will just share 3.
1. Job 10:12 (NKJV)
For thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
2. Even though we believe not, yet He abideth faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
3. Micah 7:8
Rejoice not oh mine enemy, for when I fall I shall arise, and when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

Mine is and will always be Isaiah 40:30 "For they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." This verse helps inspire me when things do not always seem to be going as good as they can be, that when I wait upon the Lord and continue to Trust him in everything I do everything will be OK. Even when I know it is hard, it helps for sure.

Hi to all , my favourite verse is
Man shall not live on bread alone, but BY every word that proceeds out of the mouth of GOD ,
greetings bignik
Yes i feel the same way as you , but i have faith in the LORD ALMIGHTY and he did say there will be troubled times and sons will go against their parents and viceversa , but i trust in the LORD and know he has a plan for every living person who wants him to do so, GOD BLESS all

As of now, mine was Ecclesiastes 1:18. This verse was a mystery for me until now. Do you know its meaning?

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
This verse reminds me to put my trust in the Lord even when my own plans fail. It reminds me that God has a greater and much better plan for me. If things does not go my way then I know that my plans are not in line with His best plan for my life. All I have to do is surrender and entrust my life to Him because He knows what is best for me. I made me realize that all things, good or bad, happen for a greater purpose.
