My fiancee is thinking about buying me a netbook and using my laptop for work (his work laptop died!) I'm game, because I really only use my laptop for internet use. This would give me something much smaller, cuter, and really it would have what I need to basically surf the net and make my money and get my freebies online. lol
So, do any of you have a netbook? If you do, what type do you have? Do you like it? Why or why not? I'm looking for some personal experiences with them!
Thanks!

I have a good deal of information about some netbooks.
I think they are designed for basic use and are far better then pdas.
If you have to run many application then these netbooks are going to be too slow for that.
Even if you upgrade there specs they are not designed to run heavy application
As far as your requirement is concerned I think you should think about it because you can work on one or two sites at one time.
But if want to work on multiple sites then its speed will also be a problem for you.

I was in the same point you are now but I research and found that the acer aspire one it's the best choice it haves more storage and acording to an expert review it's much faster and powerful than the other netbooks and it's pretty economic so I bought the acer and I don't retreat my choice I works perferct you can do whatever you want I even play games like f.e.a.r. Or world of Warcraft and all the games you like and run all the programs you need this netbook it's the best thing I've bought. Hope it helps you.

Wow! that's great! My wife and I has our own laptop. Most of the time, we use for internet use but there are times that we need to create movies, we use Excel as well, and read ebooks. We have our own, it is easy if you have your own specially if you are different interest. I like playing online games as well while she likes to read ebooks and we can not do it in one laptop so we have our own.
Have a nice day!

I think it sounds great...I personally have a desktop and want to downsize to a laptop...hubby got one a couple months back... a refurbished one and it is great...its a Dell, and we got it at such a cheap rate. I dont know when I will be able to get a laptop myself but if your fiancee is willing to get you one...go for it!!!
I dont know much about them yet, but if I get to a point where I make some decent money montly online...I will seriously start putting more attention toward them and hopefully getting one myself!!
good luck with yours ...when you get one!!

Acer Aspire One is a good choice. I recommend that to you. But if you used laptop previously, i think you won't satisfy with the netbook's performance. This is my friend's experience. She bought a netbook today and she sold it back the tomorrow day. Human nature is never get satisfying with one thing. When you said a netbook is enough for your online purpose, but while you doing on it you will find that netbook has limited performance. I don't mean netbook is worse to buy, but if you have enough money to buy a notebook, so why don't you do that? However a notebook is much better than a netbook.
