It seems like people are so attached with their computers or cellphones or both. Some won't even trade it for a large amount of cash.
Now, what if there's a new law passed that you can only choose between owning a computer and a cellphone, what will you choose?

That's an easy one. I would opt for the computer and be happy that I can enjoy my time online without having to worry about the phone ringing. Many people do their web browsing via their cell phones now, but to be there are too many -gotcha- charges. Besides, when I look at pictures that my friends send me, I'd rather see them on a larger screen.

For this question, my answer is I choose computer, because I need it very much. I need my computer to settle my bills, it save my times a lot. I need it for watching movies online, because I am busy and lazy go out when I am off. I need my computer for my work too that my mobilephone can not help at all. I also need it for connecting people like my friends, relatives and family.

I can't say I love my things, but I do wanted to keep them as long as I can [unless something more upgraded and updated is given to me ]. My cellphone costs just about 1,999 pesos, really cheap huh? So I'll definitely wouldn't give up my computer for that phone, hahaha! Besides, I work at home using my PC, so it is more important to me more than ever, especially with the fact that I don't have much textmates or callmates aside from my Mama, and I live with her And yes, of course, I do my mylotting on this PC!

Cool set of bread and butter huh? lol! If it's just for surfing, i can live without my computer but unfortunately, i do a lot of stuffs on my computer than on my phone so i guess i have to ditch my phone in favor of my computer. I'm just glad there's no such law because i so love my phone too! lol!

I'd choose the computer. I don't usually use my cellphone, and I have Skype and MSN in lieu for the calling. I like my computer because I can play games, study, socialize, and just about anything. I can even order food and groceries. Everything is so convenient now... Maybe we'll get too fat due to the lack of movement/...

Well now days you could choose a smartphone over a computer. every day some thing new comes out and it's hard to keep up with. Now in a cellphone you can edit documents or access the web or find where you are with the gps and you have the mobility that you can't find in all pc's but depends on your needs . In the other hand he have the famous and new netbooks which are very powerful and you can use as a wifi phone and now days you have Internet everywhere so you could stay with computer as a phone and run all the programs and games you want and need. But in the end it comes down to what you need

I think i choose computer for computer is more useful and more complete than mobile phone. Computer with internet connection can give you a wide range of information that the mobile cant for its main purpose is communication, the access to information is limited unlike computer is everything that you need is there, just a touch of the button.

I would definitely choose a computer over a cell phone ANY DAY. In fact..that's what I do! I don't have a cell phone right now -- so it's not a big deal at all to me. Sure, I'm a little hard to get a hold of, but I actually kind of like being unreachable sometimes. The computer, though, just has so many more uses! And for the most part, they're a more reliable/quick way to get things done.

Frankly speaking, those two things play an important role in our daily life, and nobody can live daily life without them. We work need computer. We communicate need phone. They are both important when we need it. But if you ask me choose only one, I would like to choose computer. As we know, we use computer connect to the internet and the internet gives everbody an unprecedented chance to search all the reasource we need. Certainly it can also provide us with a way to communicate with other people in different places around the world. To me, I like computer better.

Too much imagination on your question. But let say in if only mode. I prefer to choose smartphone than a computer. The main reason is i can speak with someone directly with smartphone. Maybe we can use computer for communicate with other people but it should be in different way than using smartphone or cellphone. For working purposes, so far i can handle my job with my smartphone. Since i'm a mobile person, i feel smartphone is part of my soul. I don't know how can i live without my smartphone. I can do mylotting, checking my email, chatting, browsing and even playing games with my smartphone. I think all the common activities which can only be done by computer previously now can also be done with smartphone. However, technology doesn't stop at this point and smartphone is getting smarter than before. Maybe one day there's no more differential between computer and smartphone.

That is also my take about smartphones. That's the reason i came up with this discussion because i myself is having difficulty answering this topic. lol! I'm a mobile person too and for the last two months, i used my phone to surf the net. The problem is, cellphones are pretty much limited in terms of power, ease of use and many more. The reason why i'll choose my phone is because i love it. lol!
I'm not sure about the differential between computers and smartphones because as technology progresses, computers too are becoming sophisticated. Laptops are getting smaller, now if you can attach a phone to that laptop, then maybe it's goodbye for cellphones.

I would definitely choose computers. If we look into the matter of differences in between computer and mobile phone, the mobiles are still not competitive. Mobiles still can't do what computers can do.
Though you can have photographs, emails on the mobiles, but what about your creativity, programming, office work, database etc jobs? How will these have their shapes if we don't have computer. Can we design a web site using our cell phones. Can we program a software using our cellphone? Can we use our mobile for our patients database in the hospital?
I can still live without mobile phone, but not computers. So definitely up for computer.

i would choose my laptop... with my laptop i can do whatever i do on my cellphone. i can call, send message, surf the net, see my friends, shop online, watch movie, listen to music, even take photo... although what i have now is not that handy, it is more better than my cellphone...

No, I am not that kind of a guy. I can trade my pc for a large amount of cash. It has:
1. Pentium 4 processor(2.39Ghz)
2. 512+128 MB RAM
3. DVD reader
4. 17" monitor
5. A lasor mouse with simple keyboard
6. 845 Mother board &
7. A TV tuner card.
Whatever money above Rs 5000 will be accepted pal!

absolutely i will chose a computer rather than cellphone. A cellphone just only communication device. But a computer is everything, you can make money with computer, working with your homework, chatting with your friends and colleagues and much more.

i think i'd rather have my cellphone than a computer. I am surviving now without my PC and I would survive without the office PC too. It would be sad though but it would be so difficult if I didn't have my cellphone as it is the major means of communication that we have now.
