Is a person defined by the amount of money he/she makes?

It is a sad fact but I believe this is true even in the family. Whoever makes a lot of financial contributions, gets to have the last say. I think financial support gets to be acknoledged more than just being there to help out, or helping out in emergencies.. so sad but there is really a big difference on how you will be treated.

Sadly, this is becoming a trend. A lot of people do this. When you go to a mall and try to observe (which I once did out of boredom), you can clearly see the difference how the sales person treat different people based on how much money they have.

Hi there. While it may be true that that is the case in society and most households, I think it shouldn't be. Money shouldn't be a measure of the worth of a person or how much say one has. I think that there are a lot more important things than wealth and success and power - like good morals and charity and kindness and honesty - that should define a person. Sadly, society has yet to realize this, recognizing people for their wealth or power (or both) more than what they are doing to help other people. When people begin to realize that there are a lot more important things than money, this world would definitely become a better place.

A person is defined by who they are and how they behave. I know a lot of jerks that make a ton of money and I know just as many who make nothing. And I can honestly say the amount of money they have make no difference to me. As for in our home- my husband is the bread winner- but you would never know it. It is character that decides who you are- not money. If you have issues with people treating you differently becuase of money (whether you have a lot of not) then I would surround myslef by different people. Good Luck to you and happy mylotting!
