I got up early this morning - actually I got up earlier than I thought! I came downstairs at 6 am only to discover that it was actually 5 am. I am going back to bed for an hour or so! Have you ever misread the time and got up earlier than anticipated?

So many times it is unbelievable sweetheart - but I do try very hard not to!
I had the arguable privilege of Niamh sharing my bed last night. When I finally opened my eyes at 7.30 this morning she asked Mummy how long have you been awake? Were you awake when I was saying Mummy, Mummy are you awake and you didn't answer? Were you awake when I was shaking you? I was just waiting for her to say were you awake when i had my fingers up your nose? lol Needless to say I had NOT been awake when she was doing that stuff! A bit scary if you ask me. Another thing how can such a little person take up so much room in a bed? Aaaaarrrghhh xxx

Yes! And I hate it when that happens. For me, once I'm up I'm up, and can't go back to sleep. The handful of times that I have, I'm more tired than if I didn't. Today was actually one of those days, and I'm already planning an afternoon nap...lol. It's one of those cool, damp, cloudy days so it will be a good day for one anyway.

No, I am not careless about my seep. Generally, I wake up early but I don't do this type of mistakes because I sleep with my watch. I can see time on my watch even in night as well.

Yes, that has happened to me a few different times and I hate it. Especially when it is so close to the time that you really wanted to get up and you don't have enough time to fall back asleep. I always get stuck waking up like half an hour before I need to and will lay there trying to get back to sleep but it never ends up that way and then I am tired for the rest of the day it seems just from that missing half an hour.

this has never happened to me. I am one of those major night owls that works on the computer until the sun rises, and then goes to bed for a few hours, usually eating breakfast around 1 PM I seem to be on a different timezone. LOL I wonder what timezone I'm actually on ? LOL Something to think about.

Yes, but once I'm up, I'm up. No way can I go back to sleep. We have this ridiculous time change twice a year in this country, presumably to get more daylight. It has people getting up at their regular time only to see by the clock that they are early or late. I'm cranky today, I didn't sleep well. Make me laugh.

We have the time change here as well. I always get it the wrong way round so I'm springing backwards and falling forwards and then getting in a right muddle. In the end I got all the clocks right. I even moved my bathroom scales back a pound and forward an ounce!

Oh, i know the feeling, my friend. For it had happened to me not only once but several times before. But there are times that i couldn't get back to sleep again, so what i do is open up my computer or watch late movies. I usually, set my alarm clock at 4a.m. with an allowance of one hour before i really have to get up and start my chores, that is during the week because i have to be at work at 8am.

Yes, sometimes i do get this feeling of tiredness before work but i am energized the moment i have my nice hot cup of coffee. But i am used to rising up that early and staying up late at night, but as i have said i will get some more sleep when i have the chance.....lol

Hi p1key,
I've done that before but last night I couldn't sleep at all and I was still awake around about 7 and I came down to have a cup of hot milk then bent back up and fell asleep, it must have been about 8 then. Hugs.

Hello there, once such thing happened to me too. I was supposed to get up at 3.30 and get ready by 4.30 as the picnic bus would pick me up by 4.30. I slept a bit early that say and suddenly I got up, looked the watch and saw it was already 4.30. I scampered like anything and got ready in five minutes and waited for the specific bus to arrive and when I looked at my wrist watch I saw it was 3.45 only.
Just came back and prepared a cup of tea and then tried to kill time watching TV but i was not so much comfortable.

After searching in my mind,I found that this case once happened in the period of my senior school. My normal wakeing time is 5:30 am.but I got up in the 4 am.Due to the heavy burden in study,we have to get up early.when the winter was coming,we almost got up in the darkness.I can still remember the star over there.however I miss those struggling days!

Hey p1key! You sure do get up early! That is way to early to
be waking up especially on a Sunday! Sometimes that is when
I am going to sleep! Why do you wake up so early? Are you
up feeding the chickens? I can't imagining going to bed early
and waking up early like that! I think I'll remain a night
owl!

Yes it has happened with me few times.
Basically I am not bothered about sleeping and wake up times now.
But I was bothered about it in my college days.
Once I was late for my practical and next day I wake up late and actually I thought that it is too early to wake up and slept. Just opposite of yours.
That week I missed both practical sessions and was just warned not to miss again.
It is just one of the moment. But I also have experienced one as of your once during my exams.

Oh yes and I love when that happens,I remember one funny incident in particular when I woke up suddenly and started freaking that I was going to be late for an exam and was rushing about trying to keep my wits about me and then I just happened to look at my alarm clock and was relieved that I had an extra couple of hours to sleep..and not be late..I was amazed after all that I was able to go back to sleep too.LOL
