Have you heard about plastic containers causing cancer & do you believe it ?

I got an email from my cousin stating that using plastic containers causes cancer. Oh well we sure have had our milk in plastic containers for how many years? Soft Drinks come in plastic containers. Ice trays are plastic too. And also now we even buy food that comes in plastic containers like sandwich meats. Do you believe this is true or is this just another thing that research is claiming. A short time back they was saying peanut butter caused cancer. I believe our whole environment even the air we breath can cause cancer for the main reason of the pollution. So there is no way to escape all the health issues. So what does everyone think?

there are the possiblities but i am not confirmed, but the use of plastic is increased so much that we cant avoid them totally, almost everything like you have mentioned, comes in plastic. So how can we avoid them. There are advantages and disadvantages of all the things that we use, but then there is no option, if the manufacturers dont stop using them.

I know what you mean, almost everything is in plastic. I really don't believe what they are saying, for they said the same thing about peanut butter a few years back. And hey peanut butter comes in plastic containers too, LOL!!! I also believe they say that for they want the customer to buy all that bottle water & not save a bottle to reuse. And really where can you buy glass resealable bottles to drink out of & put your beverage? I as a child loved bottled milk for it taste so much better in glass. I also bought organic milk from a health food store that put their milk in glass containers, which I loved. But unfortunately the store closed. So what as humans can we do? We are overwhelmed with plastic containers.
