Hi,mylotters!
My English teacher asked us the question a few days ago.I didn't know how to answer it.I am not sure whether I am introverted or extroberted.Sounds silly?Don't laugh at me please. My parents say that I am introverted.Maybe they are right because I always feel really nervous when it comes to speaking in public and I don't like to talk with strangers. But I can talk much with my friends.I am really confused by the question. How about you, mylotters?Do you think you are introverted or extroverted? And which kind of person do you prefer?
Have a nice day,everyone!

I'm introverted. I don't like going outside too much and I get nervous when I'm around people. I don't talk much. Parties are out of the question lol.
I don't think it's silly that you're not sure. With some things, I can't decide what I am, either. Sometimes I'll be one way, but give me a slightly different situation and I could be totally different.
If you look up introvert and extrovert online, you'll find quizzes about them. Maybe that would help you figure out which one you are? You could also just be one way sometimes, and the other the rest of the times.

Personally I consider myself extroverted because I like spending time in large crowds, I love to talk to people and I can't help myself not to talk :D I usually take the stand and take over situations and I like to moderate people during talks. I consider introverted people self destructive because they keep everything inside and they are ruining themselves. If I have an advice for all introverted people is the following: take a deep breath, leave worries behind and be yourself because like is too short to waste important time without speaking or expressing. See you around and take care/

Hi mylotters! There is no big deal if one is an extrovert nor feel inferior if someone is introvert. Its all about the human nature how they express oneself. Its a common wrong illusion that introvert people dnt express there fellings, they do. If not orally, literally though.. chatting, online forums, blogs.. to name some. Well I am an Ambivert. Mixture of both Introvert and Extrovert. I would prefer solitaire at times and even can shine as the life of party.. I love being an Ambivert.

I'm an introvert. I only talk more with close friends and never talked anything personal with anybody I'm not close with. I don't tell problems to others too. I just keep it to myself and I don't really like party and all those kind of stuff. I prefer to hang out and spend time indoor.

Hi Hxstar,
You can answer your teacher like this: It's depends, teacher. I am introverted when i feel down, but most of the time i am extroverted. Why? You were saying you got nervous when you speak in pubilc, let me tell you, no one is brave when he has to talk in the public, this will need lots of practices. I think i am a extroverted person, i am not afraid of talk to stranger, i just don't like to talk to the people that i don't like. I can speak and talk in the pubilc, but i am not good at it. As to your question, which type of person do i like, i am not sure, i enjoy the extroverted one like me, then we can have a lot of things to talk about, but i do know someone who is not interoverted, i think they are our good litener. See, to me, it's really hard to decide which one do i perfer. I like them all!

Hi,vivianchen
Yeah, you are right.I think no one dare say that he won't feel nervous at the first time to speak in public. In fact, were it not my teacher's question,I wouldn't think about the problem at all.I just like the way I am following now,why people like to seperate people by introverted or extroverted?Just behave as who you are is good enough,I think.
Thanks for responding!

I think it is hard to say what kind of person you are.Because i feel i am introverted sometime but extroverted sometime. But it is true that we like the extroverted person.so we should do something to make ourself better ,maybe it is difficult but worthwhile.

I think everyone has traits of both introversion and extroversion. I do not know anyone who is not nervous when speaking in public. Introversion, to me, is more that you prefer your own company over that of others. Extroversion is a strong interest in being part of the lives of others. I have both. I am shy, reserved, or introverted, but I learned long ago to put on an act that makes me appear to be an extrovert. If I pretend to be at ease, no one will know how ill at ease I actually am. I think I am introverted, although I love interacting through the internet, where I can keep people at their distance.

I think that i am generally an introvert because dealing with new people always makes me nervous, I always have to take a step back and think of what exactly to say whenever I talk to someone that i have never talked to before, i wish i wasn't like that because it does keep me from getting new friends. I like either type of person, being a shy introverted person myself i can sometimes spot one so that can make it easier to talk to someone because we have a common personality trait but someone that is extroverted is fun too because they help bring me out of my shell

In general, I am introverted, but when it comes to my business, I have to be extroverted in order to succeed. I wold rather stay at home with my family than have to be around a lot of people. I do not like going to parties if I can avoid it, and the only people I care to invite into my home are family members and close family friends.

Definitely an introvert. I'm quite slow to warm up to people and I like to spend time alone. While being with people can be nice, I get exhausted after a while.

There are some test or questions that will determined if your introvert or extrovert. I' ve taken a seminar and from the questions that they asked me, i found out that i am extrovert. But there are some traits/ways that introvert have and i also have it. Example i love to stay at home just to read books or watch tv or dvd, that is introvert, but i love to go out like beach, mountain climbing. I happy around people but sometimes i want to be alone.
It doesn't mean that when your extrovert, you don't enjoy what introvert are doing and vice versa.

I do not think it is silly because sometimes I am not sure myself how to answer that question. I am like some of the people here who have responded that sometimes they are introverted and sometimes they are extroverted. I can be very introverted with people I do not know or just met but can be very extroverted with friends and with people I trust.
