Well I know computer back in 1996 I think. My dad bought a computer and its operating system is windows 3.1. I could not remember what its hard specs but I definitely know that it has a very low computer hardware configuration. I played doom with it. I also like mario typing. It paired with a black and white monitor and it really awesome at that time. LOL. It was our first computer.

I got my first computer back in 2004 when I was in my high school. I got access to the net in 2004 and since then I am addicted on to it. And I like this very much. I am very glad to be able to access the internet at such a young age and I am always trying to learn a lot of new things here.

The first time I laid my hands on a computer was in late 1977 at Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology. There was no monitor. I tried my hands on programming using BASIC. In 1983 I bought an Oric 1. It had a separate sound chip, 16 colours, and 48kb of RAM. A monitor cost six times more, so it was connected to the TV. Later om I upgraded to the Oric Atmos which had a better keyboard and better memory management. The first PC was in 1997. As a part time technician I got several other dying PCs and had them refurbished and upgraded. So it went from the 486, 586, 686, and currently an Athlon X2. I have used AMD, Intel, and Cyrix processors. My preference is AMD. The computer revolution in my country started late. One of the results is that many young people think I am completely ignorant, or have a vague idea, on what computers and the Internet are. all the best, rosdimy

Wow you're just a young pup. I bought my first computer in 1994 (which was very late according to my friends, who had computers as early as 1983), switched from a Bulletin Board System (BBS) to the internet when it came to my city a few months later. But before that (in 1982) I took computer programming in high school, first in a language called Fortran where the commands were on a stack of punch cards, read by a card reader, transmitted to the nearest large city where the commands were run on a big mainframe computer, and then the results sent back to my school printer... then the following year we started programming on AppleIIc's. A much easier system to learn. Now I write business programs for the PC at work and use Apple computers at home.

i had a computer since 1980's and back then the internet was practically unheard of for most of us. my first computer was a 286 running on DOS, there's no windows back then. no cdrom, big diskettes, and games are very simple. the first time i used the internet was during the early 90's i guess...
