I didn't watch it, but here he is. From Wales. A 12 year old that got the judges, and the audience on their feet. Your roving reporter reporting in as instructed!!! www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/2009/04/19/shaheen-s-set-to-take-on-susan-boyle-for-britain-s-got-talent-title-91466-23417105/

Impressive, but not extraordinary. I've heard local kids sing just as well and sound exactly the same. There's nothing that stands out in his voice. It takes more than being able to carry a tune.

Agree and for the most part because kids change as they grow. He might not sound so good in several years or he might sound better. You never know which way it's going to go.

I shall be interested to see how he does. I am not sure that pitting children and adults together is the right way to do this. Then again I don't watch it. I just report the latest "sensation" for LadyM!

Wow! What an amazing talent for someone that's only 12 years old! Susan Boyle was also fantastic so it looks as if this will be one heck of a series this time around. It's a shame I don;t get to see the series on TV here. So where's all this British talent been hiding then you think? Makes a nice change from "Britain's got something to complain about" I must say!

But we do whinging so well James. Blimey we can find a grumble in most situations. At least he wore a tie for his audition. Standards you know! LOL.

Ah yes, STANDARDS! For me these days, this means remembering to wear underpants..... I was going to say whinging, but everytime I use that term, I have to explain to others what it means. Damn this world devoid of culture Mr Pike, damn it to Murgatroyd!

Wow, wow, WOW!!! This young boy is fantastic..I liked him much better than Susan Boyle, Simon was correct the right choice of a song can make you or break you and the second choice was definitely the right one! I also like his nice clean, polite demeanor PLUS he is a cutie and will have all the little girls go wild. IMO a winner!

They must have something in the water LoLo. Wales has produced a lot of fine voices over the years. XXXX

How can they hear him when they're shouting and screaming? I think they are reacting to his youth rather than his voice. I see that your country is infected with the drawn out ululating style of butchering a song, too. This irritates me to no end--it does not communicate "soul" or emotion, it's just plain damned irritating. Sorry to be so crabby. I hope Susan wins, she's about out of chances at her age and that kid will have many especially when his voice changes. Besides, Susan has such a wonderful voice.

Now there's a set of vocal chords! Would love to see a duet choreographed for him and Susan Boyle...that would be something!

Yes it would be. Why should they compete against each other when they could join forces and take the world by storm...literally. I'm getting tired of the current music that I can't hum in the shower.

The boy does have alot of talent and I would like to see him go far..I think that Simon was a bit harsh with him in his first song choice but he blew them away with his second which is good. Yes, she is still my choice also..and I am still rooting for her to win..everything is crossed that can be crossed..for her.

Its amazing the talent that is coming through on this show so far this year isn't it? I have to admit it has been highly entertaining - even the ones that are rubbish have been entertaining. This boy is very talented but I still think that Susan Boyle is favourite to win! xxx
@p1kef1sh (45681)

She's my favourite to win too Mummymo. Of course if you entered there would be NO competition.

Hi there p1kef1sh Well I certainly did watch it and was so glad that Simon Cowell stopped him and gave him a chance to sing a song that just blew everyone away. He was amazing it is true to say and even if he doesn't win Britains Got Talent I am sure he has got a great future ahead of him.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

I am sure that he does have great things ahead of him Humbug. We clearly do have some singing talent in the UK.

I was able to watch Susan's Boyle's audition, and it was fun watching the judges' and audience faces turn from ridicule to admiration. It was a one in a hundred awesome event. If couldn't help laughing as I was watching it. Cheers and God bless.

Yes I was watching it that kid was simply amazing and at only 12, he sure has a bright future ahead of him. I loved the look on Simon's face when he belted out that song. With him and Susan Boyle, this competition is shaping up to be a good one.

I had to switch over to YouTube to listen to this little boy and I have to admit when Simon stopped him not too far into his first song my heart almost stopped but after he gave him a nudge to try another song it was so obvious why! He is extremely talented and a joy to listen to. Then after the song, when Simon actually got actually got up from his chair, that I actually thought he was super glued to all of this time, and joined in the ovation, I almost had my 2nd heart attack!! Thanks Roving Reporter for bringing him to my attention!!

He was brilliant once he had the right song. Susan Boyle was the biggest wake up call though, talk about judging a book by its cover. I like the saxaphone player too.

I didn't see the sax player Nanna. I prefer Susan still.
