Interesting and Clever Concept

We went to a wedding last night. Was at a very nice private club. I haven't seen this before and we've been to many weddings. During the course of the reception, a photo booth was placed in the lobby area. A table next to the booth allowed the guests to place their 3, black and white photos in the wedding book along with any comments to the bride and groom. The wedding was large so this allows the bride and groom to see who attended the wedding in case they didn't get a chance to visit with each table. Now why didn't I think of this idea! Do you agree this was a very interesting and clever concept for wedding memories?

Yes, it’s a wonderful idea! Also see the personal touch that each person has the opportunity to write something to the bride and groom alongwith the photos…wow! We all write something on the gifts alright but to actually attend the wedding and then leave a personalized photo with remarks is truly awesome. It would make the memories all the more wonderful you know…just going thru the photos to see who attended and wrote what…it kind of brings a smile to one’s face in remembrance of that magical evening.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind getting into a business of this nature. Could be a gold mine if enough events were scheduled throughout the year. Thanks for responding.

Oh wow, I've never heard of this before but what a great idea. Around here the big thing has been placing disposable cameras on the tables and letting guests take pictures.

We did that for our youngest daughter's wedding and it turned out to be a waste. People had a few drinks and then took photos of their friend's butts..lol Looking back it was funny. Thanks for responding.

Yea that can be a waste - this last fall we had a big birthday party for my step-dad (200 people) and we did the cameras actually got some great photos but then it was for the most part an older crowd (his 75th bd).

I don't think it will put professional photographers out of business, but it is an interesting way for everyone to add to the wedding album. Never heard of that at a wedding, we had something like that at our Mall. Thanks and take care

Hey carol! What an interesting and clever idea! I have never heard that before! How great! I don't know how they came up with that, but I think that was a wonderful idea and they can enjoy looking at the pictures right away when they get home from the honeymoon! I hope you enjoyed the wedding! This couple sounds very creative! I think they will have alot of fun times together in the future!

hello carolbee what a nice wedding that you-all attended the other night. and i have never been to a fancy wedding like that before. and i have never heard of putting a photo booth in like that either. i think that was an awesome idea. and btw, how many guests were at this wedding that you-all went to? from reading over your discussion, it sounded like the wedding had a big turn out. i haven't a clue as of the next wedding that i will be attending. but i love weddings! thanks for sharing the news about the photo booth at the wedding for the guests. take care and have a beautiful day today!

I would have to guess there were about 200-250 at this wedding. It was big and beautiful. The couple was married at this local country club which overlooks a golf course. It was an expensive one. Glad we didn't foot the bill..lol The photo booth was a very interesting idea. We had a rash of weddings within a month, 4 to be exact, so we have 2 more to go in May. Thanks for responding.

Everybody want to make his memeory memorable. But before spending extra money you shoud need to think twice, because you earn money by doing so much hard work.

we have done this in several friend's wedding reception and it has been around other events as well. it is a very nice way to have an activity within the event. it is a very cheap attraction if you want your event to be memorable to your guests because you got to have the prints with you at real time and a copy for the host at no cost to the guests. i assume you are in the philippines because this has been around for quite sometime.

Nope, we are in the US and I haven't seen this idea in the past. This idea has been around for awhile? The photo booth concept has been around for years and years but haven't seen it at a wedding. Thanks for responding.

Wow! What a good idea. My neice recently got married and at the wedding they placed camera's on each table.....I have seen this done before. The bad thing was that some of the cameras didn't even get used as the guests didn't take photos! This was a very clever idea!

We did the camera thing for one of our daughter's weddings. It didn't work so wonderful. Many pictures were taken of "butts" just to be silly and some cameras weren't used. Thanks for responding.

Hello carolbee. It is a creative wedding this friend of yours has. I guess that you must have enjoyed it a lot last night. Well, speaking of my own wedding, I have to say that there was nothing special. It took place the way it was like many other people's of my time. Yet I still remember clearly my wedding on the last day of the year when it was very cold...Anyway I enjoyed my wedding dinner and party.

Hello williamjisir. Good to hear from you. My wedding was so long ago but we had a good time. We didn't have anything different either. We were married in the summer but it stormed something awful the night we were married and we had car trouble when leaving the reception. Thanks for responding.

Hi carolbee, That is a brilliant idea and the couple can stick the phots in the wedding album so they'll remember all the guest that was there, great!. Tamara

Each couple who took photos put their picture in the book with some kind of saying. This way the bride and groom will know who was at the reception. Very clever idea. Thanks for responding.

I'd like to find out what the name of the company was or who owns the booth. Sounds like a very promising idea that would take a long time for burn out to happen. I may have to make a couple of calls. Thanks for responding.
